When do you start playing Christmas music?

My kind of girl!! I love Christmas and Christmas music. I have a clock in my kitchen that plays a carol every hour on the hour..I keep it up all year round! Can't wait for xm to start their Christmas channels!!

I play Christmas music year round. If I am in the mood, I put it on. I love Christmas music.

Not until December and not until it snows. If it still hasn't snowed by Christmas eve I play some TSO on the way to grandma's anyway.

there is a radio station here that starts the day after Halloween, but that is too early for me. I've heard they do get alot of listeners though.

it will be closer to, if not Thanksgiving weekend for me.

Although, I have to say - most of the Christmas music I listen to is classical stuff or obscure choral arrangements that most people have never heard of (and would thus not think it was Christmas music!).

I put one of my Cambridge Singers Christmas CD's in my car a few weeks ago (just listened to it once) and it was GREAT!!! I only listen privately until after Thanksgiving, to avoid the wrath of others.

In my car once the word October is gone from the calendar, my Christmas music becomes fair game. My family however, usually won't listen to it until after Thanksgiving, so I change it when they get in.

I wait until the day after Thanksgiving to play it in our house. We listen to it while we put up the Christmas tree. Sometimes I do cheat and listen to a song or two on my Zune starting right around now, though..

When my daughter was little we would start on Thanksgiving night with the music and tree....now we are all much older and it seems to get later each year.

When I was still iving in my own home - and my DH was still alive - I always started on November 1st - because that was when I started my mass cleaning of the house - top to bottom, every knook and cranny, every knick knack, windows, blinds, curtains, - the whole 9 yards..

Since my DH has been gone and I live with my DD and her family during the winter I only play Christmas music when I'm baking with my DGD, helping to trim the tree, and wrapping gifts.. Makes me kind of sad now - missing my DH and my childhood home..

I try to wait until after Thanksgiving but the radio stations have been starting earlier than that the past few years. I have CD's going in the car from right after Thanksgiving until somewhere around New Years. I LOVE Christmas music, especially the classics and anything done by the Morman Tabernacle Choir, the very traditional music. I can belt out those songs when I am alone in the car and pretend I can actually sing .
