When do you get points when ADDING ON?

I was just wondering, if I want to add on do I have to wait for my use year to come up to get my points. Let say my add on comes through in Feb. But I have a December use year? Do I have to wait till December?

If you add on through Disney, you get the current years points right away. We added on 25 VWL points in October and we have a March UY. We were able to bank all 25 '06 points into '07.

Once we got some BWV points in January as an add on, and at that time they didn't let us bank the points, times have changed. But even then, we did get the current years points to use.

As bobbiwoz said, Disney starts you off with current Use Year points with your add-on. With a December UY, if you bought an add-on in Feb 2007, you would get the Dec '06 points deposited into your account within about 24 hours of paying your deposit. You would pay pro-rated dues based on the date you get the points. So, for example if you purchased at the end of Feb and got the points on Mar 1, '07, you would pay 10/12ths of the annual dues for 2007. You would be billed for the dues at the time of closing.
