When do Virgin get their new planes/updated?

Does anyone know when Virgin are getting their new planes from London to Orlando?

Or are they just being updated?

They are scheduled to start flying new A330 on certain days of the week from May on LGW-MCO. There is scheduled to be a daily service MAN-MCO from April.

The 2 new a330s have been handed over to VA and one has been fitted out and is now at LGW.

They have said the 747 will be getting refurbished but no exact dates yet.

Yes, I think the 1st ones fly out 4th 5th April, then from about May most earlier flights are on the A330, we are on the later flight in Oct so missed out were on 747, but did not mind as we are in the Bubble On the way home its the A330 for us.

No - they won't tell you. You can check to see what plane you are scheduled to be on from seat map on VA site.

Or if you post dates and flight number we can check for you.

Remember just because it is scheduled to be a certain type doesn't mean they can't change it!

when i chose my seats last yr, it was showing as a 747, so i guess if it changes to the A330, that will be void

update: just had a look at the seating plan, and still showing as 747. although also realised that i have previously chosen seats at the very back of the plane (row 64); which i have since learned is not good, as you are last off and end up at the back of the queue for immigration
