I was there for Hallloween and Christmas decorations. Halloween starts to come down November 2nd and Christmas decoration start coming up on the 3rd and 4th of November. It goes straight from Halloween to Christmas with no lag time. So one day is Halloween next starts the Chrstmas. I think the Castle was lit beautifully for Christmas by the 5th or 6th.
As soon as the parks close on the night before thanksgiving, they decorate throughout the night and everything is put up. They do 100% of the decorating in one night. I watched a program on it on discovery channel ;-)
They are actually all lit up much earlier then that. I wish I knew how to post a picture. The Osbourne lights started up on the 8th or 9th of November. Everything is in full swing by the second week of November!

Sorry, but that is not quite true.
Epcot does not go into "Christmas mode" (and that park has a lot of Christmas activities and events) until Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
