When do points from II exchanges transfer to CRO

This topic came up in another thread.
The Guidebook refers to a booking window for II exchanges as far out as 2 years.
How does this work in relation to our use year.
Also, if booked futher out than 11, when are the points transfered to CRO?

The points are NEVER transfered to CRO. They are used to reserve weeks that are transfered to II. Within the rules of the program and the use year, the points are taken when you accept the exchange. After that, it's between DVC and II. You can reserve as far as 2 years out but II will get a DVC unit that is no more than 10 months and 3 weeks out, the week given up doesn't have to match the time you receive.

The points you are talking about with II exchanges do not go to CRO though, do they? I thought those reservations went directly to II. The points that would transfer to CRO would be those exchanged for the Disney Collection or Concierge collection.
