I'm so sorry, I am such a wet behind the ears when it comes to the DVC :confused3. So please forgive me. Sadly, I will be coming into an inheritance in the very near future. I'm not looking to invest tons of money (not a 300 point girl here) I'm looking to have enough points to go once every other year 75 to 100 points a year. Anywho, how many years can you bank? Anticipating my grandchildren someday :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for any help.

You may only bank one year's points. You are also allowed to borrow points so at any one time you can use up to 3 years of points.

you can bank 2009 points to 2010, then in 2010 borrow 2011

so like kat say 3 years of points in 2010

banked 2009
current 2010
borrowed 2011

if you don't need financing might look in the resales. they have some good deals.

Using a 100 point contract as an example with a June use year...

On June 1 2009 you will get 100 points for use in your 2009 use year (which runs June 1 2009 until May 31 2010). These points expire May 31, 2010. They must be used by May 31, 2010 OR you may bank them into the 2010 use year. Once banked, they can no longer be used in 2009 use year and expire May 31 2011. They can't be banked again.

Let's assume you banked the 100 points from 2009 into 2010...

On June 1, 2010 you get 100 points for the 2010 use year. Add this to the 100 points you have banked and you now have 200 points to use. Let's say you want to do a big vacation in 2010 but 200 points isn't enough. You can borrow up to 100 points from the 2011 use year, giving you 300 points to play with in the 2010 use year. The one caution...once you borrow points you must use them in the use year they have been brought into. They can't be returned.

Hopefully this isn't too confusing!

John
