Does anyone remember when May Annual Passholder rates have come out in the past? I'm having a hard time waiting patiently. :teeth:

I think someone posted the other day that last year they came out on Jan. 24th. I'm really hoping they come out on Monday the 27th. :) But who knows.

Other years they haven't come out until March - so it's anyone's guess as we all wait patiently......

When I became an AP holder we rarely got any resort discounts (1995). Only during value season and it was usually only 10% off, but never the value resorts. I always find is amusing that everyone plans their vacations in the assumption that there will be discounts. I would think that you should plan your vacation as if there are no discounts, then if it happens, that's great and if it doesn't, you won't be bummed. JMHO

I have gotten significant discounts on my last 4 WDW vacations (discounts of 35-45% on deluxe resorts) with various code rates and AP rates, so I do tend to eagerly await the discounts to see how good of a deal I will be able to get. I will be a bit disappointed if there are no discounts for my next trip (since from what I have seen Disney has still not completely recovered from 9/11 attendance-wise so they need to provide discounts to some people to get them to come), but it will not ruin my trip by any means. I will just change to a less expensive resort than I would choose if excellent discounts are offered. :)

I refuse to go to WDW and pay rack rate. I'd rather stay home. I can't justify spending $400-$500 a night for a hotel, and I don't like the All Stars. But Hey, if you've got the money to burn then go for it. ;)

I never book my trip on expected discounts. I'm paying $1,600.00 right now for our 9 nights and if I happen to save a few hundred more, then I'll be happy. If not, I planned for that amount last summer when I booked, so that will be the price.

Like others have said on these boards - book what you plan to spend, because you can't always count on a discount.

It's all part of the fun waiting to see what kind of great discount you can get! My planning revolves around it!!
How do you guys put that countdown in your signatures? I love that!

Padkasper, go to the "technical support" site near the bottom of the discussion board. The first link is the instructions on putting the countdowns on your signature. It's a little overwhelming the first time, but you'll figure it out. The hard part is coming up with a cute saying that will fit in the allowed space. I love seeing my numbers click down.
