When do I contact Disney?

Hello Everyone

We are planning to get married in May 2010, I know it sounds like miles away but I was just wondering when you think I should first get in touch with Disney? I am a complete planning freak so it'd be great for your advice.

You can always call and see what info you can get. If you are planning a couture wedding you can already get the ball rolling on a number of things. For a wishes or escape wedding Disney does not really do much until 18 months out. Good luck!

I am planning to get married in 09/2009 - I called disney last month to get as much info, since I'm having a wishes wedding, they told me to call back 18 months before the wedding date. I know how you feel, I'm a uberly organized person and feel like getting things done PRONTO!

What happens at 18 months? (I thought nothing could be booked until 12 months in advance for a non-Couture wedding?)

Yeah I am getting married 11/09 and cant do anything till 8 months out cause I want the WP. I got engaged a year ago - so 3 year wait - and I am getting so excited and desperate to get some things done. I have already planned everything I just need to book it all now.

At 18 months you can have info sent to you, talk to a sales manager and get a site visit. You may also be able to get "penciled in" for your date, time, and location.
