When did they add park-to-park buses?

Just got back from WDW. There was only one day where we needed to use buses going from park to park. I planned in time for the usual park-to-resort-to-park ordeal, but when we went to the bus lineup at Animal Kingdom, They had direct transportation to the other parks!

Finally!

They've had them for the three years that I've been with Disney Transport... and Im sure they've had them for much, much longer. Perhaps you just didn't know they existed previously?

If my memory serves me, park-to-park buses began running with the opening of Disney MGM Studios in May, 1989. Previous to that, there was no need for park-to-park buses as MK and Epcot were connected via the monorail.

We started going in 1994 and they've had park-to-park at least since then.

Are there busses from MK to other parks?????
Two years ago I was told by a CM that MK was the only park that didn't have busses to other parks, so I never looked.

I believe that there are no buses from MK to other parks.. you must monorail from MK to the TTC and catch the bus there.

That's what I was told about MK, Tammy C. Anyone else know differently? Have I been missing out on something? (always something new to learn!)

It's correct. The only buses out of the MK are Disney Resort buses. Park-to-Park transportation is provided out of the TTC. There are *NO* buses to DTD or any Disney resort at the TTC, with the exception of WL/FW.
