When did Boardwalk open?

As new DVC members, my DH and I were looking through all of our paperwork last night. We were especiallly interested in when each DVC resort opened. I have the dates for all properties, except: Boardwalk, Vero Beach and Hilton Head. I know one of the experts on this board will be able to help me with this info. It's interesting for us as new members to see the growth and progression of DVC since its opening in 1991!

I have the following:

October 1995 Vero Opens
March 1996 HHI Opens
July 1996 BWV Opens

I think it's correct.

Working only from travel memories (no official paperwork or records) ... in early 1996 (January and March) we were watching very early Boardwalk construction from the Dolphin hotel. Our first stay in a BWV studio was Sept '98.

Construction between during the first half of 1996 would have had to be flying in order for the resort to open July. I'm sure that DVC was selling BWV ... but was the resort really open that early?

Just wondering ...

There is a group of Disney pins with each resort and the dates they opened. The Boardwalk one say "Est. 1996". I think it is a cool pin and you'll might want a look.

We did our first stay onsite at the BC in February 1995 and I remember renting a boat and watching the construction of BWV & BWI from the lake and MGM canal.

We were at the Grand Opening at the BW on July1 1996.Also opening that day was the ESPN club with all the celebrities staying at the BW
