When can you book for 2009?

I was talking with my H and although I was hoping to book for the first two weeks of december, it looks like it would be more feasible to wait until April 2009.

I was looking at when Easter falls in 2009 and Easter Sunday is April 12 next year. If I wait until after that week, will it be less crazy?

I'm so sad...was really getting excited about WDW in Dec...

You can already book for '09 ... when my dh was on the phone w/CRO a week or so ago, the CM mentioned they were booking out through July '09. HTH!

I'd like to book for February 2009....and I think I'll be able to book for that date in May... I know I bought my flights last May for our February trip to Orlando.

Also, can a TA book it this early, or do I have to go through disney? As well, will they be able to give me a $ amount? I was under the impression that they won't be able to release the 2009 rates...?

Yes, CRO is Central Reservations.

I would think a TA could book for you with no problem, as long as Disney is open for your dates. I'm not sure about the rates yet ... they may only be able to quote "projected" rates at this point. Your TA should be able to tell you for certain, though.

I wonder how much the prices for the resorts will go up by? I am next visiting the world in November and am looking to book a trip in May & September 2009. I wonder when the AP rates will be out. How long in advance do Disney announce AP rates? And how much is normally discounted in Value Season?

WE booked last August for our trip this past Feb. I wanted to book earlier, but out TA said the rates for the next year don't come out until end of July forst part of August. Needs to be said though, that I don't think my TA was very good and I will d it myself next time.

Is it possible that if you booked your next trips while at Disney you could get bounce back rates and they would be cheaper?

A ressie for WDW that far out HAS to go through CRO. Travel agents can't book that far out (unless they call CRO to handle it for them). Not all TA have that access with CRO.
