When can i link my credit card to magic band?

Our upcoming trip we will be staying 2 days offsite and 3 days onsite. The first 2 days will be offsite but since my tickets should be linked to the magic band can my credit card be too? Never stayed offsite so i wasnt sure.

I always charged stuff to the magic band like souvenirs, snacks, etc and then paid my balance at the end of the trip with my DIsney rewards gift card before everything hit my credit card. I doubt can do that this time.

Your cc is linked to your MDE, not actually to your MB. You can add a cc to MDE at any time.

You link your CC to your hotel account when doing online checkin in MDE. That allows any charges made by tapping your MB to the pay terminal to be placed onto your hotel bill, and then you can go to the front desk of the resort before checkout to pay down the balance via gift card or Rewards card.

On the days you're staying offsite, you won't be able to use your MB to charge your purchases - you'll have to use your CC itself, except for purchases you make within the MDE app like mobile ordering food or Merchandise Mobile Checkout, but those go directly to your CC too, not to your hotel bill.
