When can I book dining?

Hello...I'm new to all this...when can we book dining as a DVC member? And do I need my card/#? We JUST made a reservation today for Christmas (our points just got in our account today).

90 days before your check-in date (for up to 10 days). As of October 1, though, I believe that is changing back to 180 days.

Yes, can you believe it? I was shocked, as well. SSR, DTD view, studio.

DTD view would only be a request and not a guarantee.

As PP have said, you can book 90 days from check in for up to 10 days with a Disney Resort stay. Folks have been booking Christmas ADRs for several days, so it is very important to book your holiday meals ASAP to get a popular restaurant.

As Deb & Bill said DTD view is a request, not a guarantee. It is not a matter of "keeping" that room, as it is not yours until you check in. I only re-iterate so that you will not be disappointed on checkin. Anything can and does happen between now and then.

That's interesting, maybe it's something new! I might actually consider SSR if I could get a guaranteed DTD view. My biggest fear is I would end up over by the fire station or the road.
