--We saw this group!
We passed them on 75 one day, didn't know who they were but it was obvious it was a soldier "coming home". Don't know if it was a funeral or them coming from the airport. There were also people on the overpasses with flags and such. It still chokes me up to talk about seeing them. There must have been 50 bikes.

I've always had a soft spot for bikers as both of my brothers were bikers when they were younger, I'm quite a bit younger than them so I was in middle school and high school at the time. They are both Veterans also one Vietnam and one Desert Storm.

We ended up in DC last year for Rolling Thunder. I had no idea when I had booked the trip. It was absolutely amazing to watch them all!

We have been riding our Harley for the past several years to Rolling Thunder. Won't make it this year, DH has to work.

It is a VERY busy time in DC, especially around the Mall area!!!!! If you go, be prepared! Seriously! More of this than you can imagine

Here is a good video. Watch it around the 2 min mark, and the best, 2 min 30 sec mark. After this second one, you can see the Marine mouth "ooh rah" to the passing bikers. Brings tears to my eyes!!
