I'd be willing to bet it was an excellent adventure.

I have seen one object in the sky which I could not identify. It was in the 80's. I was driving to a ski resort and saw something strange in the sky. We pulled over to the side of the road. Other cars were doing the same thing. There was an object going across the sky that look like it had multicolored fireworks coming off of the back of it. It looked like it was very low to the ground, like the same distance of an airplane.

We watched the news later and they said people could see it in more than one state. I think they later determined it was a meteor or something natural like that.

One of my good friends was telling me over dinner and drinks one time how she saw little green men trying to get her. I knew she hae been sick I helped with her kids but I did the same smiley face and chugged hard on my martini. She really did see little green men though but now the meds have fixed that. She also dumped her loser DH and life is moving on for the better for her. So I guess you never know what people really do see.

I'd believe my friend saw something they couldn't explain (I don't feel like my friends would lie to me about such a thing).

If it was a stranger, um... different story.

About 5 years ago I was waiting outside of my DD's school to walk her home. It was a gorgeous day so I got there early. I had shattered my wrist so I was off work for a few weeks and walked my big GS dog up there with me. This strange guy walks up and starts talking to me (I assumed he was waiting for his kid, too) and is saying stuff about UFO's and conspiracy theories. He then points to the sky and starts talking about "chem trails." Says that these all-black, window-less airplanes take off from a hidden runway in a nearby town and cover the sky with chemicals to prevent... something, he said he wasn't sure what. He is actually carrying some binoculars and insists that I look at one of the planes in the sky.

Um... it was black and without windows.

The bell rang, the kids came out and I was so glad to make an exit!! Most uncomfortable conversation ....!!!

Ok this is just a petpeeve I've mine that I've developed through longtime lurking here on DIS... why do so many people use the word "seen" instead of "saw"??? I know I probably sound like some 60 year old English man with something up my.... rear end... but it just bugs me to no end! If someone could please explain to me the origin of this..

Oh and uhhh... frozen smile sounds good
