Don't think I've had anyone tell me that...but I still swear to this day I've seen two! Once when I was about 5...and again when I was about 13... I still believe I saw them, but I don't tell many people, to avoid that 'look' you are referring to

I would sit there with a frozen smile on my face, UNTIL I met DH. He is a very sane person. He saw a very large disc-shaped object with symmetrical lights fly very low over the lake one night (where he lived when we met). He called the local TV station and several other people had also seen it. The FAA explained it as "space junk." But space junk with a fixed shape and symmetrical lighting? Ya gotta wonder.

A roommate of mine had a cousin who was a Pan Am pilot, and during training they were told they could expect to see these unexplainable phenomena, and to " not worry about it."

Here's my take on it: it would depend on the person; UFO simply means unidentified, not necessarily alien; and if we're as good as it gets in the entire universe, we're screwed.

My niece MIL believed in them til the day she died.

One of the relatives waits table at a place near us. One day I said Bev was a lot of fun when she got on that subject. I used to let her talk to make her happy.
