We're coming down for 2 weeks next year. The first week we'll have one set of grandparents with us and the second we'll week we'll trade them in for a different set of grandparents! :goodvibes Each week we'll have a party of 8, and each time we'll have someone in an ECV.

I found info on if we take the bus (will only happen during the second week) that says a party size needs to be 6 or smaller. I assume this is the same for the rides?

I don't have a problem splitting the group up on rides, but I'm wondering what happens at shows. In particular I'm wondering about Festival of the Lion King. Will we be able to all sit together?

The ECV's can go in most of the lines with everyone else, so you shouldn't have to split up that much. There are some rides that the ECV's will have to split off towards the end, but you shouldn't be split up for an overly long time. Hope this helps! :cool1:

We just came back Tuesday we were a group of 8 and didn't have to split up at all. Some rides require ECV riders to transfer to wheel chairs but the whole group stays together

We were a party of 8 and were never split up for rides. Shows could be a slight issue because depending on the seating arrangements and how full the show is, you may not be able to sit in one row. They have guaranteed seating for one companion next to the person and may allow others to sit next to them or they may be directed to a row in front of them at shows. The only ride that we have had an issue with is TSMM where we have been asked to split up depending on how long the accessible queue line is, as it can get VERY backed up...my parents have waited with my sister from that point over an hour before, where if you go through the regular part of the line there it only takes around 10 minutes or so).

The party of 6 thing really only applies to the bussing.

Thank you! My mind likes to sit around thinking of all the "what-ifs"....

Our party of six was seated together at FOLK. I,in my power chair, was at the end and my family sat in the same row. In past trips some family sat in the row just above me

As a party of 9 with my mom in a wheelchair the only time we were split was at the safari ride in AK. Dad went with Mom and the rest of us were seperate. She took much longer to get out. After that we started asking and just parking the wheel chair with strollers and having mom walk the rest (she was 9 months post a knee surgery so she can walk, she just walks slowly and couldn't do ALL day in the parks like the rest of us. WAlking the rest of a line where we could only move as fast as the line was fine for her)

If you don't have that option though you may have to split in some cases and then the groups may not finish at the same time.

Whether or not you get split up will depend on the crowd levels; the number of people waiting; and at shows, the number of accessible seats available in the theater at the time. Basically, you need to be prepared to be flexible.

Thank you for all the great answers! :goodvibes It sure puts my mind at ease knowing what to expect.
