We have several ADRs planned for our trip in a fortnight. DD9 will probably be in a wheelchair now for about 95% of the trip. Do we need to ring and advise for our ADRs? She can/will transfer from the chair. Would the wheelchair be parked therefore at the door?

I'm thinking it won't be an issue but thought I would rather check first., or before I ring from Australia! She will be no stairs.

Specifically, our ADRs include:
  • Crystal Palace
  • Spirit of Aloha
  • Tony's Town Square
  • Plaza Inn
  • Beirgarton
  • Teppan Edo
  • Akerhaus
  • Hollywood and Vine
  • Hollywood Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package)
  • CRT
  • Rainforest CAfe Animal Kingdom
  • Raglan Road
  • Yachtsman Steakhouse.

ETA: When we made the ADRs the wheelchair was some of the time only.

if she can transfer it won't be a huge issue as they can seat you anywhere there is an open table. I always get asked if I can. if it is busy/crowded, I will typically walk in from the podium and the chair stays put outside ( but covered in the rain if necessary) they can if there is room let you bring her all the way to the table and then will whisk it away for service

if you think she won't want to/be able to transfer then yeah you should note it on the ADR so they can plan ahead accordingly. esp the no stairs bit

HBD, for instance does have a couple of small steps if you come in from the main entrance but there is a WC one available. but its a tight squeeze in there sometimes..

Other than Spirit of Aloha, the places you are going should have no issues, other than already mentioned.
The Spirit of Aloha has wheelchair view seats, but if she can transfer, she can sit anywhere.

Biergarten has different levels, but when you check in, you can ask to be seated on the level with no stairs.

We have a child who uses a wheelchair full time and can't walk. We don't note it on ADRs, except for a few places we know have limited seating on a certain level, like Cinderella's Royal Table.
The people who really need to know are the ones who assign tables. We just make sure we mention we have a wheelchair when checking in.

If you are concerned and want to contact before, you may be able to add it as a comment online.

Thank you both - DD will transfer and I will let them know at check in.
