Whatz the most points you've heard of?

While sitting here hoping I win the Powerball, I was wondering what's the largest number of points owned?

I checked one of the resale sites and saw 618 4sale at OKW, but I thought I had seen a thousand or two at one time in the past.


(PS, if I hit the big PB, I would would buy a big chunck of points and make them available to Make-a-Wish or similar group. Maybe then God will let me past the gates.)

I thought I remember from our DVC presentation (a year and a half ago) that 5000 was the most one person could own.

I think that it is 4000, but there are ways around that. Lets face it, if someone wants to buy, Disney is going to sell.

That's correct it is 5000. But no more than 2000 at any one resort. As Disneynutz noted there are ways around that. We discussed this with our guide when we first purchased in 1995 and on his recommendation DW and I each purchased our own memberships which allows us the ability to own up to 10,000 points with no more than 4000 at any one resort. If we wanted more than that we could purchase a third membership as Joint Tenants.
