We had that one for years, then when DS got a house, he took it.
So, we do see it every year!!

Both our trees have an angel on top.
Our family room tree has the first angel we bought - it turns 31 this year
Our living room tree has the second angel we bought - it turns 22 this year
They go on the same tree every year and they will be on their trees until I die, so let’s hope that’ll be a long time

I love all the different ideas! I've never really intentionally looked for something to replace what we have, but I think I'll start keeping an eye out. I love especially the cardinal idea & the spray of greenery/berries; something with kind of a winter nature woodland vibe.

I’ve always had a star. I like the classic look.

Right now an Angel but she might not last the entire season. She is actually only a year old but we got a new tree this year and it really didn't have a means to put a topper on it so we improvised. She is supposed to light up but again, there is no way to plug her into the new tree lights. As an aside, the tree is a Balsam Hill and I'm going to say, don't waste your money. It's an o.k. tree but for the amount we paid, it should be a great tree. The make their trees in a way that is - oh by the way, you want a topper? You are going to have spend more money to buy one of ours. We were limited as to the size of the bottom of tree because of the place we put it and this was the only one I could find other than a pencil one that would fit.

Our main tree topper is the Death Star.

Our second tree has a Disney-themed star with Mickey and Minnie.

YES!! I have one someone made for my Mom years ago. It has gold trim and is still beautiful.

Our tree juuusst fits height-wise in the place we like it, so it doesn't really have a "topper" to speak of - we just make sure to put a star ornament near the top. We have few we rotate through - a delicate clear & gold glass one, a Texas one from a family trip, and one with a "do you see what I see" snowman on it - similar to the artwork on these:

An angel make out of a paper plate with yarn for hair. Made by our youngest when in kindergarten (some 25 years ago). I also have 3 glass tree toppers in different sizes that never get used - like this:

We use one like this, but it's burgundy and gold - got it at the Christkindlmarket in Chicago. It replaced the multi-color lighted tinsel star that my husband always thought was tacky (it was similar to the one I grew up with...grrr). Kids loved it!

A star. We used to have an angel but she’s kind of fallen apart and our tree now is too tall for her.
