Or what was your theme. Whether you had your wedding in Disney or are planning one. Maybe you had a themed wedding at home and honeymooned in Disney. I for one would love to know your theme.

Here's mine:

We decided on having our reception at Ariel's and we felt that we had to have a theme based that fit in with the place. So we've gone for "Under the Sea" - Fish mobiles hang down from the ceiling so we are incorporating shells and starfish. Our invites feature starfish. Our table centerpieces are 3 glass pillars of shells and water with floating candles and then little shell accents. I adore the color pink and my MoH is in a Fuschia/Cerise pink so we are having the same color roses for our bouquets an we are using those rose petals also as accents on the table. My chocolate favors are going to be some sort of pink and white marbled chocolate shells with a hidden mickey. I'm having shell table card holders. The cake will be themed as well. Our tables are named after Little Mermaid Characters. Our guest book is actually a framed lithograph print that you get in Art of Disney of the Little Mermaid and we're going to ask all our guests to sign it.

So come on, spill your theme .......

Sam, we didnt really have a theme, but just wanted to say I love the idea of all your guests signing your LM print! How cool!

What a great topic Fantasia Sam. We know that all Disney Brides like to mention what they are doing or have done for thier wedding. Or at least you and I do :teeth: :teeth:

My theme was Cinderella and Prince Charming. (Our daughters Favorite) The colors of my wedding were lilac and white. My Unity Candle was hand made all carved out of wax and hollowed out at the base with Cinderella and Prince charming standing inside all hand carved out of white wax. This candle was beautiful and I got soooo many compliments on it.
My flowers were white and lilac roses as well as our daughters. My reception was held at the Asbury Hall in the Yacht Club. This was not my first choice however I had to make the best of it.
At my entrace I too had a lithograph print framed and placed on an easel for all to sign as my guest book. It was Cinderella and the Prince on the bridge. The pen stand was a beautifully decorated glass slipper. My table seating cards were in Frames that resembled Cinderellas coach and my tables were named with a Cinderella themeing. (Cinderella table- My family, Prince Table- his family, Fairy Godmother table for my godmother and her family, Glass Slipper table other guest and so on.) We had 10 tables total. Also at each table we had special table cards made that were cut outs of Cinderella and Prince charming dancing which stated which table the table actually was (cinderella ect)

MY Card box was a huge white cinderella coach with 2 white horses. Which also was decorated with the same color roses that I used in my bouquet . This card box had lights all over it so that it lit up.

My centerpieces were Large iron carriages that I purchased and spray painted white and decorated with the same color flowers and beautiful ribbon. Inside the carriage my godmother made little pillows with and placed glass slippers on them. These carriages also lit up with battery operated lights and gave off a nice touch to the tables.
I also had 4 votive candles around the table (the asbury hall has no windows for light) as well as Silver coated chocolate coved candy almonds scattered over the table. My guest absolutely loved these almonds. They were soooo good and with the lights hitting off them they just glittered so nicely.
My cake was 3 tiered with the Large White Chocolate Cinderellas Castle on top.
I hired a balloon decorator as well because the room was bear and needed some fullness to it so I had a dance floor canopy put up as well as balloon collums behind my cake that were lit up, also a arch going over my Djs area and our table and scattered balloon all over the floor for the children to kick around and play with. We also had balloons tied to each of my centerpieces at differnent lenghths to give it a feeling that the ceiling was not that high :earseek:
My favors were for the women Crystal Grandfather Clocks that I stopped at the hour of 12 and for the men silver shoe bottle openers as well as a wine bottle topper. They also were able to keep the picture frames and we played a game at each table to see who would win the centerpieces.
A characture artist was also there to draw a picture of each guest and for them to keep as a favor. This was a HUGE HIT!!! Everyone got their picture done. It was well worth the Money. I had of course Mickey and Minnie come to spend some time with us Dancing and cake cutting which was another HUGE HIT!!!

For our salad we had Bibb lettuce with Herbs, Edible Flowers, Micro Greens and a warm Goat Cheese Scone Passed Rosewater Vinaigrette
Main entree we had

Maine Lobster Tails
Seared Twin Beef Filet Minon
Lemon Beurre Blanc
Potato Basket Filled with Roasted Garlic Mouse and Baby Vegtables
and the children had the Minnie Mouse Entree
We had cake for dessert as well as having the dessert party later that night so I opted out of having any dessert other than the cake at the reception. We also had open bar the entire time.

Since the Majority of my guest stayed at the Yacht Club after my reception we just took pictures on the Yacht Club grounds and then it was time for our Illumintations Dessert Party. What great dessert. MMMMMMMMMM. I also had champange here for my guest to toast one last time.:teeth: :teeth:

Boy I could write soooooo much more but I wont bore you guys any longer.
If you would like to veiw a demo of my wedding you may do so at www.stvsweddings.com/gallery. Click on the image that says Ellie and Louie May 3rd 2003 ( You may need to type this in the bar rather than cut and pasting it cause sometimes cut and paste does not work.) or if your interested in hiring STVS just contact them for a sample tape and the sample tape is of my wedding so you will get to see it all. :teeth: :teeth:

I cant wait to hear all about the other weddings:hyper:

Magical Ellie, thank you so much for sharing all those details :)

I know I've said it once but I'll say it again your wedding was so beautiful and I truly recommend any future Disney brides to check out Ellie's link to her video by STVS. I think I may watch it again tomorrow night as Paul is away for the night and I get to watch what I want ;)

Oh Fantasia Sam you are too kind. I know that when it comes your day it will be just as Magical and perfect. Your theme is absolutely perfect for your location and cant wait to see pictures or a demo of the video as well.
I truely am sooooooooooooooooooo excited for you :bounce: :Pinkbounc .
I just wish that every women that dreamed of a Disney wedding could have it cause it truely is a Magical Place to be married wether having a intimate or custom wedding.

Now I just hope that other Disney brides will post about thier weddings so I can daydream while reading with a smile on my face :teeth:

unfortunately, we can not afford the cost of a "real" Disney wedding in WDW, but we will be honeymooning there. however, we have decided on a disney themed wedding. i haven't gotten all the details straightened out yet, i do still have a while though!!

so far i have my cake topper which is a small snow globe featuring minnie and mickey in wedding attire, and mickey is holding minnie in his arms. However, at a bridal expo last week i spotted my dream cake- a castle! therefore, i am unsure whether we will be able to use the topper, so i may just place it next to it.
other than that we got our cake cutter/server. it is cindy and prince charming engraved with our names and wedding date.
i am going for a more general disney theme than a specific one. we are thinking of naming our tables after disney characters that we have our pictures taken with and some how displaying these on the respective tables with some other decoration OR our favorite disney movies or disney couples (mickey and minnie, donald and daisy, snow white and prince... etc etc)

then i plan on having be our guest playing when dinner is served.

these are just a couple of my ideas... suggestions are always welcome from those of you planning or who have planned disney themed weddings... i would appreciate it!!

hotveggy, I think it's great that you can incorporate Disney into your wedding at home. I love the idea of your cake topper and keeping it general will give you a lot of scope.

You can get Disney punchies - confetti to dust over your tables if you want.

I love the idea of naming your tables after Disney characters that is so much fun and you have lots of choices to use there. I love the couples idea :)

I hope you get to pick up more ideas here :)

Fantasia Sam--

Thanks for the compliments and ideas! I hope it all works out ok...

your wedding plans/theme sound very exciting as well. I have seen some of your posts both here and on the disneymooners.

I hope it all goes well for you; you must be getting so excited. I hope you will share your pictures and memories with us:D

I don't really have a theme, but my colors are pink and silver! I am trying not to go overboard with it, but I think it's gonna be really cute.

Well I think Pink and Silver is a wonderful theme :Pinkbounc :teeth: :Pinkbounc but ofcourse I am biased ;)

Are you incorporating any Disney things into your colour schemes - any hidden Mickey's we need to know about ?
