What's your sweet spot?

We go 8 nights and buy a 7-day pass. If anyone outside my immediate family joins us, I assume a little longer would be ok. Any longer and I start to feel my responsibilities pulling me back.

I go on vacations to get some respite from my responsibilities caring for my mother with altzheimers. I'm fortunate to have adult children at home who fill in for me when I'm mia.That said, there are many calls from home each day & they get antsy being 'me' for any longer than a week. My dog ignores me for a week when I do return.

When i was more carefreethe longest I've been on vacation in Orlando has been 12 days. It was the the only time I felt satisfied that I had done it justice and was ready to return home. I'm not sure i'd feel the same now lol

For me, 8 or 9 nights is just right. A week is just a little too short, as I enjoy down time but still want to go to the parks plenty. One time we stayed 10 nights, and it was too long. Of course, we switched resorts for the last night and should have just headed home after the 9 nights.

I agree about having my dog along. I miss him even being gone a week.
