The naming-of-pets-after-food reminded me of a couple more names we had for roosters: Wingding (Wingie for short) and Drumstick. Wingie hatched about a week later than his brothers and sisters and so as soon as he pecked his way out of the egg, they immediately started trying to kill him. My mom rescued him and he was raised in an aquarium under a heat lamp for about the 1st month of his life and so, obviously, he was tame. Once he finally moved into the barn, whenever I walked in he'd fly onto my shoulder and sit there like a parrot, which was hilarious.

Anyway, on Christmas morning one year, we noticed him hanging around under the bay window and decided he needed to have a Christmas picture taken, just like the rest of the pets. This isn't it, but I love it just the same:

Champ is my boxer, well it's actually Khamp "the storm" Ringo O'Shea if you want to be technical.

In the past I've had Chelsea (a husky mix), a bunch of fish (2 were Uncle Jesse and Joey, I don't remember the rest), and when I was really young we had a white fluffy dog named Snowball. I don't remember Snowball at all but my family claims that I should

Bundles is our 6 lb. yorkie. He's named after Bundles the laundry man when my DD did the Annie tour. The guy that played Bundles was a great friend of ours and when she was done with the show, we got a yorkie and named him after our friend.

In the past we have had:
Pride--a German Shepard/Retriever mix--The best dog ever. Lived to be 16.
Schnookums--German Shepard/Doberman mix. Lived to be 16.
Miss Dog--pain in the butt mutt who lived to be 13.

All of my dogs have come from the Humane Society.
