What's Your Opinion?

People go around ( And im getting tired of it ) asking if im taken .. annoying much But i was wondering what people think of it

IMO it is dumb , but that might not be the same opinion as somebody elses or make mine right

Taken is so so so so stupid like LOL you think you can find love on VMK, i mean really, you never know who is on the other computer it could be a 59 year old man, so i think it is stupid and alot of then have sick minds.

it doesn't bother me. I tell people I'm not taken, nor am I looking to be taken.

...but...

I have signed on with my mule, which is a boy character and I'll go into the Sci Fi Drive In and the girls will flock to me so I start talking. again they'll ask if I'm taken and I'll just say 'no'.
..then..I'll sign on in a seperate window with my main (girl) character and go into the same room as my mule, go up to him and go "honey, who are you talking to?" and my boy mule will reply "uh, just a friend". and I'll just let it go from there. eventually the girl I was talking to gets up and leaves. then my girl character breaks up with my boy mule, she signs off, I type " - cries - " and some girl takes pity and starts talking to me.

lather. rinse. repeat.

I create my own drama in VMK.

Most of what "taken" is, is a game of "house". A lot of the people taking part in it are the younger kids (I say that assumingly).

I don't do "taken" and I don't think it is the best aspect of vmk, however, it is there and it isn't against the values so to complain about it is to cry over spilt milk.

People argue that you shouldn't find "love" on vmk like that...do you guys really think that these people are finding "love" on vmk? Most likely not. These "kids" just walk around following each other and sit near each other and do other things that even just "friends" do. It is almost like an elementary or middle school crush. One kid will ask another kid if she/he wants to go "out" and when the other agrees, they don't actually go anywhere...they just walk around together and eat lunch together...maybe they even visit each other and hang out...just like usual friends do.

Others may do "taken" in vmk as a means of getting "popular". If they are, so be it. As long as they don't bother me with this whole taken game play, I am fine with it.

I have also heard people argue that the guy behind the character could be some middle-aged freak. Okay, so what if he is? He can't find these characters and stalk the people behind them. Because VMK has such a limited dictionary, people can't openly give out specific information to lead a "freak" on.

There are times, however, when "taken" becomes inappropriate and that is when it starts to break the VMK values/rules. What I mean with is...when the issue gets to be more than just walking around with "friends"...but when people start to "make out" and "have a bay be". That is when it reaches a new level and should be reported.

My basic opinion is that taken is fine as long as it doesn't reach an inappropriate level. (yes, I agree it is annoying at times, but what are you going to do? lol).

Never thought of it like a crush... maybe you're onto something. I think it's just so annoying that so many people do something like this, but now that I notice it, it's really not that bad. Middle school has so many people who have crushes, which also sometimes gets on my nerves...
