Years ago I met a guy while I was out at a club. I thought he said his name was Mark - it was Mike. I called him Mark for a long time. He never corrected me. How odd. In his defense Mike was a nickname so I guess it didn't matter if it was Mike or Mark since neither were his real name. We dated for a few months and when we broke up he told me.

Whats the big deal - give him a chance.

I would give him a pass this time. The timing of the ph call is way more important, he must be interested & want to see her again.

Now if after a kidding correction & another date, well...............

My BF has friend he had dated for about a month he continually called Lorraine - her name is Lauren!!! It's a joke now after 2 years.

Update...

She called him today. He acually DID realize that he called her the wrong name, or thought he might have. He said, "I called you Miranda, didn't I. That's not your name..."

I guess they are doing dinner tomorrow... wedding to follow, I am sure

Just kidding. I wouldn't think anything of it. I'd call him back and say, "Hey this is Mandy, I got your message and I'd love to go out with you again"

either way, my own mother calls me the wrong name half the time so i probably wouldn't think too much of it. he was probably nervous when he called her, so i wouldn't hold it against him

I do not call you by the wrong names.. except for the times that I call you by one of the cat's names.. but that doesn't count.
