What places do you all like to get them from? Does Disney Visa have a discount? or should I just use the one that come with our package?

It shows:

Choose from a fleet of motorized and non-motorized craft that are available for rent. Sea Raycer by Sea Ray® boats, sailboats, SunTRACKER pontoon boats, Boston Whaler Montauk boats*, pedal boats, kayaks and canoes are some of the items available at various Walt Disney World® Resort hotels and Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Available at:
Disney's Beach Club Resort
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Disney's Old Key West Resort
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Downtown Disney® Marketplace

I believe we would like to do the Sea Raycer. I have a story from last time we did this... just no time to tell it right now. Not sure where we got it from ??? but it was a pretty scene by resorts and brought you into the DTD area. Was fun, just want to know if there are other places we should try.

Last December I rented from the GF. This is the best body of water to traverse, as it has the largest area to ride, not to mention the ability to navigate to the old River Country and view the ruins. There was NO line at all to rent here, and plenty of helpful CMs to assist you.

The other place I rented was at DTD. Smaller body of water, slower boats (they do slow them down, since most of the navigable areas are used by ferries and such, and are very narrow.) The line at the docks was very long, and CMs didn't seem nearly as helpful (maybe because they were quite overburdened).

We always rent Sea Raycers at the Contemporary Marina. We like to go over the wake from the ferries to get a little "airtime" (very little...but it's better than nothing! LOL).

We rent from the Yacht Club. My son swears they're faster than the Contemp.:confused3 Sorry, no idea about discounts with Visa. When you call to book they'll know. Your package discount is probably your best bet.
Have a great trip! See you on the flip side:cool1:

I've only been renting the boats from CR marina for 35 years, so no clue what the other locations are like, but bay lake & 7 seas lagoon is the cool body of water to take the boats out.

If you ride behind the ferry between the TTC & MK, the water is as smoth as glass and you can ride it to pick up speed before jumping the wake behind the ferry.

If you do it to much ar get to close to the ferry, the captain may call out a warning. Next would be a visit by the Mickey Mouse Sea Police. (not that I have ever been warned or scolded... no not me).:rolleyes1

Well, the largest area to explore would be the 7 seas lagoon. To do this you can rent from CR, the Poly, or the GF. This is always my pick as there is more to see. (I also think that the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness access the same body of water but don't know for sure:confused3 ).HTH

I also think 7 Seas Lagoon is the best place. Fort Wilderness and Winderness Lodge are on the same waterway as the CR, Poly and GF. All of the Marinas are nice with little to no wait. I would rent from one of the 7 Seas resorts that you want to visit or dine at. Get two things done at once. And if anyone in your party does not want to do the 'Boat" thing...they can hang out at a very cool resort or ride the Monorail or Trandpotratioon boats aroung the resorts.

Thanks everyone! I cant believe we leave in 2 hrs :cool1:

I agree with most of the others, Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake are the best. You can go back and forth. In Bay Lake you can also go around Discovery Island. I rented from WL, and will rent from CR this trip (although my parents and possibly some cousins will be with me, so I will need a bigger boat! ).

I recommend not renting at CSR. That was the first place I tried it. The lake isn't very big, and I think the boats were quite slowed down. I enjoyed it so much more at WL!

POR might also be fun, since you could go down the river by Treehouse Villas, but I haven't tried it. (You can see the same thing if you take the boat to DTD.)

I love the boats! :thumbsup2
