Usually we'll eat at Mama Melrose but this year we're going to be doing CS in HS and I wanted your input on what your favorite is. We've eaten at Backlot before and weren't very impressed.

We have always eaten at Rosie's but I have to tell you we liked Back Lot better. But keep in mind DHS dosen't really have any Great CS's there.

is Studio Catering. The grilled is pretty good as is the Greek salad. But since the menu is limited we usually end up at Backlot Express.

Ohhh, don't keep us in suspense! The grilled what is pretty good? :)

We've enjoyed Starring Roles, too, but this year I think they've changed the Fairfax Fare menu and we might try that. I can tell you that the burger at Rosie's was possibly the worst I've ever had.

Studio Catering is rarely busy..as such the menu often changes. Indeed, I think the area was recently just closed for revamping -so whatever grilled gooies they had before may be soon gone. Nevertheless, the food there is oftenthe best QS choice in HS.

I can't find any specific info, and Disney doesn't post QS menus. It would appear it's open again, but as I said the menu often changes, so it may have changed. The 'grilled' item that had on the March menu was a grilled veggie sandwich. Studio catering is at the back of the park. It's between TSM and the Stunt Show, next to the HiStA playground. (A great place for the kids if part of your party wants to sit a little longer.)

I agree the dining choices in HS are limited.

Starring Rolls is good for pastry, but I'm not so keen on it for lunch. Also the set up is small, cramped and S-L-O-W. The number of tables is also seriously limited.

My other favorite is HS is Pizza Planet. The Pizza is not fantastic by any means (though it's better than it was 5 years ago). But the atmosphere is cute. If you can get an outdoor table and it's nice outside, then the outside activity is fun to watch.

Actually was not a fan of any of them, but did get to try the new Fairfax menu and thought it was not bad

Is "none" an appropriate answer? All the counter service options at that park are bad. My family essentially plans its day around not eating at Hollywood Studios, unless it's at one of the slightly better table service restaurants.

Studio Catering Co. consistently has the most appealing menu, but I have never loved the food. The new selections look tasty, so it may be the best choice now. Backlot Express is basic and unassuming, but the grilled turkey and vegetable sandwiches are edible. Avoid ABC Commissary at all costs.
