What's your favorite BWV preferred view and why?

Hi all,

I am taking my Dad at the end of October (just a guys trip - leaving the wives at home per their request actually) and we switched our ressies from Vero to BWV preferred. I have only stayed in standard views at BWV. Just wondering, what you recommend - BW view or pool view.

We have had both a BW view and canal view, when reserving a PV. I think I preferred our canal view. We had a dedicated 1 bdr at the end of the hall. It was so incredibly quiet and peaceful. I can remember looking out at night and not seeing a single person just the peacefulness of the water. One night I even saw a cat come out from the bushes walking down the path.

About a year ago, BWV preferred was split into 2 reservation subcategories (same number of points):

Preferred garden/pool
Preferred boardwalk

Which did you reserve? They are no longer requests, they are reserved views.

We had a preferred studio in August and had a terrific view of the lake, and the village green. Right above Muscles and Bustles. We could see the higher up IllumiNations fireworks and some from Wishes in MK. Got to see Spaceship Earth at night before we went to sleep and then when we woke up in the morning. It was an incredible view for our first trip home!!! It was preferred pool/garden, not boardwalk.

My DH and I had preferred view Pool a year or so ago and we overlooked the CLOWN and could see ToT and hear Fantasmic. Loved it.

Since then, I have had 2 trips with Boardwalk View and I went nuts! Even better IMO. I love watching all the conventioneers walking to meetings in the morning and seeing all the action on the Boardwalk at night.

You indicated that your reservation is for a Garden view, so the BW view is not an option.

We truly enjoyed our Quiet Pool/Community Hall view a couple of years ago. We had a great view of Tower of Terror (with its eerie lighting during the night) and could hear the music from Fantasmic. We'd stay there again any time.

That's true, but you can get a partial Bordwalk view if your Pool/Garden view happens to overlook the Village Green area. The Village Green is the grasssy area between the lobby and the lake. The view is the one goofy4tink described in the post above. There aren't a lot of rooms in this area, but I think most will agree it is a very nice view if you can get it.

Ask for a view of the Village Green if goof4tink's description appeals to you. Other wise, I agree with Granny - the view of the quiet pool/Community Hall/ Tower of Terror is very nice. It also can be among the quietest rooms in the resort - these rooms tend to be among the farthest from the elevators. (I prefer rooms far from the elevators so that I don't have to hear my neighbors come home late or leave early).

Boardwalk view. LOVE it! So neat to look over the lagoon and people watch.
