What's your date & rate for 2006?

HRH Queen Deluxe (three adults, since our oldest is 20, plus two teens, so we need the room) June 29 - July 1, $255 military rate. Still more than we have EVER paid for a hotel, but to me FOTL will be worth every penny ~

Do you think if I call back 4 weeks before my trip my AAA rate of $458.10/night(kid's suite) might drop with an APH rate or is this as good as it gets? BTW we're going May 27- May 29.

only a certain amount of rooms are set aside for the discounts.
last year, the aph rates came out a month before i made my trip. they lowered to 149/night hard to say about this year. if the hotel if at 100% occupancy, they won't be lowering the discounts. they won't need to.

i was told to call prior to my visit to inquire about deeper discounts.
i plan to call monthly instead. i am going in the fall.

since your trip is coming up this spring, check the website for the aph rate at your hotel frequently. then call universal to modify.

if you have the toll free number, why not call weekly to check ?

good luck, i hope you get a sweeter deal with your discount

Where/how are you getting these discounted rates for HRH? I'm looking for disounts for the end of July or beginning of August 2006.

Anyone? I know about AAA and any website offers, are there any more? I know that HotelKingdom.com used to discount the rooms. Do they still do that? I can't find them for my dates at that site.

After finding out that a room at RPR was $129 - $149 using APH, I decided to purchase a APH to get that awesome rate. So instead of paying the AAA rate of $183.20/night I now have the APH rate of $129 for 3 nights and $149 for 2 nights (weekend rate). :cool1: Even though I am paying more for a pass I am still saving over $150 for this trip because of the cheaper room rate.

Feb 20 Royal Pacific $224 --standard room---AAA discount

:-( Wish I could have gotten a better deal, but I hear that week is very busy.

March 27-30 RPR $239 standard room thru www.orangevacations.com. No discounts as I am not a member of AAA or have an AP. This was the best rate I could find without discounts as when you go thru Loews or US website they state all standard rooms are already booked. I do have a Loews first card. Can I still present it at check in and try to get a room upgrade?

Did you just book this online? I was just out there because last week I had an APH rate of $206 per night, for the same time frame - May 3-5. wonder why yours is less?

I just did this yesterday afternoon. I already had a room reserved at the AAA rate of $183.20/night so I called and had them change the room over to a APH rate. HTH.

That is weird. :confused3 I just checked your dates again at the RPR site and the AAA rate ($183.20) is cheaper than the APH rate ($206).

Maybe you can call and find out what the APH rate is for the heck of it. I

also what's odd is if I extend the reservation one night to May 3-6 the rate shows up as 129.00 starting Wednesday, May 3, 2006 For 2 Nights then
149.00 Starting Friday, May 5, 2006 For 1 Night.

But I don't want to stay that long. do you think I should call them and ask if they'd change my $206 rate?

someone posted on a thread when the ap rates came out for may.
i don't remember the exact date that was mentioned but think it was at the end of last week/weekend when it did.

call back and have your ressie modified to get the cheaper aph rate applied.

that' s all you have to do. your rate does not change unless you call.
nothing is automatic .....you are at the rate you booked at until you call to modify

ok, I"m a newbie here and new to staying at a Universal hotel, so bear with me. I will call on that, but wanted to also know if I book a certain number of nites, but then decide closer to the date to stay fewer nites, do I just call and cancel the other days, and would my rate change at all?

OH rats! I just talked to someone and they said that lower rate is only if I did 3nights. Since I only booked 2 nites, she said the $206 rate is the lowest there will be. Bummer! The only reason I'm not staying a 3rd night is we have relatives in the area we were going to visit with over the weekend.

my dates are May 21-27
i had originally paid 183 for AAA rate,i called and got my rates dropped to 129 a nite for 4 nites and 183 for 2 nites.I guess they have no 129 rate available for Thursday and Friday nite!
I saved 216 with the APH rate so that paid for the pass itself.
I guess i will keep checking to see if my last 2 nites go down!!!

RPR Club (our favorite home away from home! :)):

May 4 through May 9, 2006

$229 weeknights/$249 weekend, APH rate.

This is down from AAA rate of $263.20 per night. With taxes, a savings of ~ $145, which almost covers the cost of renewing our 2 APs. :)

Now, if we could just avoid a view of the roof and I4....

Wish we could pay extra for a guanteed view on Club Level.

O.K. Found out last night the HRH kid's suite did not have 2 separate baths sooo
now we have May27-May 29:

RPR 2 adjoining rooms @ RPR 183.20 each.

OK, booked through AAA last October for 2 nights, Portifino, Garden View room @$359 per night (4/14-4/15, Easter weekend). Was assuming AAA rates hadn't kicked in yet and/or I might be able to get an APH rate closer to the date of travel.

I am sure this is a busy weekend, but does anyone think there is any chance of this rate being discounted at all? Should I keep checking or not bother?!

Appreciate any insight! :)
