What's wrong with people?

As far as good touching and bad touching, I tell my 3 boys any toucing that makes you uncomfortable is bad touching. I do not tell my boys not to talk to strangers, hey if that was the case I would be setting a very bad example. I never shut up:) I do tell them to never go anywhere with a stranger or for that matter do not go with anyone unless I have said other wise. If anybody tries to take you you scream bite kick do anything you have to to draw attention to yourself!!:teeth:

My boys are very friendly and I like it that way. I do tell them what to do to protect themselves.

While on the subject of stranger danger, I think it's a good idea to make sure kids know that they should never approach a stranger in a vehicle (or in a park for that matter), no matter how nice that person seems. That's how the predators get away with snatching kids. They come on all friendly asking for help finding their puppy, child, wallet, (you name it) and when the child gets within arms reach, they can just grab them and drive away.

Just a couple of weeks ago, in the area I live, a mom saw a man in a car drive round the cul-de-sac then come back. The second pass through he approached her dd who was in the front yard playing. She ran outside and yelled for her dd to come back in the house and the man drove off in a hurry. They reported it on the news because they're sure he was a predatory pedophile looking for a victim. Apparently he was asking her dd to help him find his grandchild. (Who asks a 3-4 year old to help you find anything? very suspicious) Thank God that mom was paying attention to what her dd was doing.

I have never had anyone come and pick my children up-that would NOT go over well with me..but I am sooo not a worrier about germs, and never cared if someone touched my kids when they were babies. In sweet ways, of course. LOL
My daughter had VERY chubby cheeks and older senior citizens would go nuts over them and some would give her a little pat on the cheeks, or shake mu childrens; little hands that kind of thing.
So what if someone touched them on the hand?
Wasn't I pushing around the grocery cart, touching railings, counters, doorknobs etc. and then touching my children?

Germs are just not something I stress about. Though I absoluetly would if I had a preemie or a child with immunity problems, I understand that totally!
My son the other day put his mouth on the cart at target, and I was so grossed out and had him stop immediatly..but I was never worried about him getting sick, I just think it's nasty.

For the record I never touch a stranger's child because I know many people are freaked out by it, I just don't happen to be one of them.
:D
