What's with all the lost cows??

Every day there are at least five posts on my Facebook home page that says "<friend> just found a lost cow on their farm. Oh no!"

Totally cracks me.

I lived in the country for a good ten years and never once saw a lost cow wandering around There are some really bad farmers out there

I think its part of a Facebook game called Farmtown.

Yes it is part of the game. and the game is very addicting! I am not getting any cows until I grow enough grapes to afford some fencing! I don't want my cows running loose....it's bad enough that someone gave me a turkey is running around....but at least he is not eating my grapes!

Yeah, I knew it had something to do with a game. It just cracked me up that every time I sign on there are lost cows running all over the place

No no no. FarmVILLE is where the cows always wind up lost. Makes me glad i only play FarmTOWN

But seriously, one of my relatives lived in a neighbourhood with houdini cows. The rule is you call the first 2 times, the second time, free steak!

In real life- not facebook- I have a friend that rents out land to a cow farmer. (She gets the tax benefit- he gets the land benefit)
But the first month she had them we spent more time chasing down those darn cows. - They got out all kinds of ways.

Oh and we figured out the saying "When the cows come home" because we also had a bunch of cows show up one day. We couldn't get them out for anything- Then all of a sudden - near dusk- they all left. They came back 2 more times then I guess the farmer fixed his fence.

But have fun on facebook. rounding up fake cows.

When DH was in Grad School we rounded the corner to our apartment one night and there was a cow in the middle of the road! It was very dark and it scared the bejezzers out of me. I was worried someone else might not see it so I called the police non emergency number. When they answered I realized that I sounded like an idiot!

"Uh, I am calling to report a cow in the road"

But apparently this was not the first time because after I gave the address they said "Oh, no problem. We will give the owner a call!"
