What's WDW like in October?

We've never been and the beginning of October works for our schedule. Is the park busy? Is the weather good? Does it rain every afternoon? We heard the weather was good for this time of year, but just wanted to check.

Hi, My DD and I went last Oct.18-22 the weather was nice but at least two days up near 90. We had SHOWERS in the afternoon 2 or 3 days. The primary reason for our visit was to attend the F&WF and Epcot was busy!(best to start in the countries as soon as they open!) We also went to MK and MGM(now DHS) and these parks were not really busy. One of the best parts of visiting WDW in October was the Halloween Party at the MK. ENJOY! Joan

What about swimming? Should we bring suits? Will it get hot enough? We're from Texas, so we're used to hot weather.

For the past 3 yrs we went in the beginning of October and had great warm weather especially for swimming. October is our FAVORITE time to visit especially for the MNSSHP and the Food & Wine Festival in Epcot. Hope you have an awesome time.
