They seem a lot higher than they did a few months ago ... is this a bad sign for a December trip to the world?

Maybe. Maybe Not. Only time will tell. Certainly no one on these boards can say with any degree of certainty...JMHO:cool1:

I have noticed their fares are extremely high as well. They aren't open for my time frame yet however- 9/16-9/23. Right now AirTran (who I swore that I would never fly again, lol) has a non-stop flight from Buffalo to Orlando for only 93 dollars one way- I might jump on that...

i just purchased today for $69 from providence. they have a sale going on right now that ends on thursday called The Big Spring Sale.

$69 from Providence? For what dates???
I'm trying out different dates but can't seem to find it.
Or are you talking about a destination other than MCO?

I paid $59 each way from Providence to Orlando in May the day the dates were released. Today, cheapest fare is $160. I think it's a sign that times are changing for Southwest.

I buy gift cards in advance so I know I have the money the day fares are released. For our December trip, I'm buying Jet Blue cards. Right now, I could fly Jet Blue or Delta cheaper than Southwest.

Also interested on what dates this rate was for - I'm looking for mid-May and all I can find is $160 EACH WAY!!!

I'm wondering where all the internet fares from BWI to MCO went? I just find it odd.

Hi fellow Marylander!

Our first trip to Disney WL is May 4th through the 13th. I had to buy the one way price for the 4th and paid $89.00 total pp. I was waiting for the dates to open up and when I finally realized they did I checked back to book the other way and the prices were much higher and I would have had to fly very very early or very very late. I was waiting to try and figure out if I should use another airline when I decided to try back at Southwest. There were flights open that weren't before so I grabbed them. It was still an earlier flight than I wanted but I would rather spend my flight money saved on a cool Disney treat. So, I am paying $178.00 round trip pp. I got the second internet fare late February. For someone who doesn't know what she is doing I am happy with my price. We are not frequent flyers and this will be my 5 yr old's first flight. He has Autism (mild) and I needed a non-stop flight.
Just sad that my last Disney Day is gonna be so short though.

Go from Hatrford. It's only $79 each way.

I know it's a longer drive, but you'll save nearly $200 for airfare!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just booked SW from Providence Ri to MCO for $69.00 each way. They just came out with the Internet Special rate this morning. I also checked Hartford and going down was $69-$79 and the return was $69.00. The dates I booked were May 31 returning on June 4th. I hope this helps everyone.:cool1: :yay:

Hello back to you from Maryland.....I just checked the fares for my date (Aug. 16th) to MCO and the internet price dropped $2. Yippee......I don't know if I should grab this price and exchange them if they go down or go to Air Tran? I'd prefer SW. Sometimes I can get SW to refund the difference back to my account. At other times they go in their credit account. My Aug. return date has opened up yet. I am so upset at myself for waiting and not grabbing the $79 fare.

I bought Air Tran yesterday for $59 for BWI to MCO for 5/27 My return trip 6/1 will be on SWA that I got for $64 a few weeks ago. I had been holding out for good rates, but I think this is as good as it is going to get. Now waiting for the Oct rates to come out.
