What's up with Dec. 1 & 2 for CP???

I jumped right on the phone after I read the CP packages are available.

NO shows for Dec. 1 (Sunday) & no 5pm show for Dec. 2 (Monday). Dec. 1 was 1 of the days "rumored" to have Roy Disney. It's the 1st day of our trip, so I thought what a great coincidence! Could this be why Dec. 1st has no shows?? Does anyone know of any other reasons why this would happen? The CM said maybe it's booked for a special event, or something. But, for all 3 shows?!?

I remember in the past one day has been blocked off as Cast Member day or something like that for CP and no shows have been available for the general public. Generally its that first weekend of December so that is probably it.

Remember, this doesn't mean that you can't watcht he CP on thoser days, you just can't get the preferred seating.

I'd call back and see what a different CM says. You never know - the next one might be able to book it for you.

In past years, EPCOT has reserved one Sunday night for local churches to attend the CP. It's usually the first Sunday in December. As zulaya posted, you can go to the shows (via standby line) if there is room, but Disney doesn't have any dinner packages for that night. That's probably what's going on December 1.

Looks like this year will be similar to last year in that some days will not have a 5:00 CP. That means Disney must be expecting lower attendance again this December (compared to 2000). That's good for us, but not for Disney. Hope thing improve soon!

Yup, the 2nd CM I spoke with said she though it was Community Night where they invite local community service people and stuff like that. It's kind of hard to be mad at something like that, even though I can still be a little sad. Doesn't do anyone any good, though!

Well, it's back to my itinerary! Do I choose 12/2, 12/3, 12/4, 12/6 or 12/7??? I'm happy that I atleast get to make the choice!

I heard that Roy is also reading on December 2nd as well so if you really want to see him, maybe book that date.

Oh Boy!!!!! Are you serious???? Where did you hear that, Zulaya?

I'm going to sign off right now, and book 8:15 on the 2nd! They did say there was a 48 hr. cancellation policy, so you can't really lose!

Thanks again, Zulaya. We now have the 8:15 CP on 12/2 with a 5:30 PS at Alfredo's.
