Looking into a flight that has a long (over 3 hour) connection in Cinncinnati (too many "n"s?) and it looks like a good chunk of the airport is no longer in use?? I would have 2 regional jet flights and can't find any information about what terminal regionals use. I know we used to fly into concourse C and take a bus to the terminal...Anyone with recent experience that can tell me what is going on there?

After the merger with Northwest, Delta downsized CVG. Concourse C was closed, I believe A is also closed. All the Delta flights are now on B.

Yes, the main terminal is only operating Concourse B. There is a smaller terminal that I have only flown out of once (I live here) and it was a Continental flight. I was glad when Concourse C closed...I always had flights out of there and was always running late....

Consider the Louisville airport, if that's an option. We always fly out of Louisville.

Not Lexington, tho - too small.

Thanks for the information. I saw that terminal 2 and 3 were both open and didn't want to get stuck in terminal 2 for 3 hours since it's so small. I was afraid maybe that's what they were using for commuter flights.

I can't figure out why they would close concourse A and leave B that's further out open? But if all Delta flights use the B concourse I wouldn't have to worry about how to get to the other terminals for my connection right?

Just a connection - leaving out of Syracuse.

I think they kept B because it has the international facilities (customs).

It's very easy to connect now that everything is on B. There is a food court in the center and several stores & restaurants. If I have an option, I like to connect in CVG vs ATL. Problem is they have cut so many flights there isn't alot of availability and it's mostly RJ's.

I have always liked CVG - almost anything is better than Atlanta to me (never had a connection that didn't have a delay in ATL). I don't mind regional jets either. As long as I know I won't get stuck in terminal 2 I'm happy with my flight plans now. I have a Sky Club pass so I don't mind having a long layover.
