What's there to do in Boca Raton?

Change of plans since Broward Co. will be on Spring Break when we are there next weekend so someone suggested going to Boca Raton instead. What's there to do? Best beach, restaurants, fun????

Hi From Boca!

There are several beaches/parks along A1A. Fancy shopping in Mizner Park and Boca Raton Town Center Mall. Lots of golf courses. Basic chain restaurants, Cheesecake Factory, Macaroni Grill, Chili's, Uncle Tai's, etc. And also really expensive restaurants in Mizner Park like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Not really too much else to do. It is a beautiful scenic ride all along the ocean on A1A as far north and south as you want to go - we always like that drive. Hillsboro Beach in Deerfield Beach, Broward County, has a nice beach area and fishing pier we like to go on. To me, there is more activity in Fort Lauderdale, like the Las Olas shopping area, King Tut exhibit, and waterfront cruises along the intracoastal which are always fun. And, in Sunrise there is the huge Sawgrass outlet mall with the Disney outlet store.

We live in Florida but never go to beaches here! The only time we go to the beach is when we go to Sanibel Island. We also like Key West. And of course the House of the Mouse is our idea of fun!

Don't let our spring break deter you from going to the Broward county attractions. Boca Raton is only a few minutes away from Broward. Parents will be taking their kids everywhere next week, as well as local day camps. I'm sure that Boomer's will be busy next week, as well as other popular attractions. Just pick an attraction that interests you and go for it.
