For my wife and I. We are dropping the kids off at the time share 1 night and would like a night to ourselves.. what can we do? What has anyone else done?

Thanks

Pleasure Island [may be part of your ticketing] is WDW's answer to having New Years Eve every night! Dancing,Comedy Club, food, hard drinks.

Then there are the Dinner Shows that range from gangesters,to,horse shows,to muder mystries,to Knights battling for a princess to wild west shows.

Then there is Old Town simular to PI with different themeing and Admission.

There is City Walk at Universal it's a cross between DD and PI,and I think it needs an admission, but isn't a large one.

Also check out the Universal and IOA board for City Walk.

Hope this helps.
