what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

i'm glad it's not just me being picky... i'm the type to try anything at least once when it comes to food and i thought maybe i was just being overly critical feeling like the quality of food was declining in a lot of disney's restaurants. we've been going for years (since 1973 actually) but the last 3 years or so my husband and i just seem to keep commenting on what seems like a downward slide for a lot of food options. i've also noted things are skimpier in the club level lounges. i didn't like my meal at san angel either but it was about two years ago when i went so maybe things have changed. i guess a lot of it probably has to do with trying to cut costs. a lot of menus seemed to change when they introduced the ddp. it's a shame really, one of the best parts of doing a long vaca at wdw was being able to eat outside the box as my family call it. i love hearing everyones insights, we usually only tell each other the good side but forget to warn each other of possible pixie dust killers.

We don't warn each other about pixie dust killers enough.

Everything I have ever eaten at Sci Fi was just disgusting and I have eaten there twice. It's a shame because the atmosphere is sooo cool. Flat bread pizzas from Mara at AK. I even took mine back and got my money back. We payed OOP and it was greasy and just plain gross. I also got a BBQ sandwhich at the American Pavillion in Epcot and it was very stringy and also pretty dern disgusting. Other than that I have pretty much enjoyed my food at Disney!

Les chef de france has to be the worst food we had I don't even remember what we had but everything was terrible.

Worst was the shwarma platter from Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco. I went out of my way to get this after recommendations on here - never again. The meat was just vile. I swear my cats would have turned their noses up at it. I'm a pretty adventurous eater and I couldn't eat it, so I gave it to my DH who is a total dustbin (trash can LOL) where food is concerned and even he didn't eat it!

We just got back from a 10 day vacation at the World and by far the worst place that we ate at was the ABC Commissary in DHS. The Cheeseburgers were like cardboard and very tasteless. The other restaurant that we had high hopes for and was let down was 1900 Park Fare for dinner. The dinner was edible but nothing to write home about and the character interaction was nothing like others have mentioned. The Step family was not as funny as they were when we first met them in MK back in March.

I thought this would have been a "safe" order, ABC Commissary in DHS, breakfast yogurt parfait. Gross!! :sad2:

Dinner at San Angel Inn. It was the worst Mexican food I've ever had. It's on the never again list.

LOL! That is Gyro meat, a mix of lamb and beef with spices. My family LOVES it!!!

Worst I have had is Pizzafari pizza and a TOmato Mozzarella sandwich from Boardwalk Bakery.

My DF and i were eating in Morocco and tried the lamb thinking it would be delicious and flavourful...much to the contrary...we were very disappointed. :confused3 My only guess is that they tame the flavors down to suit the American standard (i am an american btw)...which is low...

I have to cast my vote for (or against) the Garden Grill. We have eaten there many times over the years but our last visit was pretty bad. The beef and turkey was dry. The fish tasted like it was frozen. And the veggies were a big disappointment. Considering the price of the meal, they should be doing a better job.

Anything at Tomorrow Noodle Land Station or whatever it's called at the MK. The food was inedible. I would have much rather they put packaged ramen in a pot and boiled it.

Worst atmosphere... Hollywood and Vine for dinner a couple years back. It wasn't so much the restaurant as it was the people. There was one dining party in close proximity to us that were the most disgusting eaters ever. It was a large party of several adults (who probably had way too much to drink, I have no idea how else they would be able to ignore their children) with 6 or so gremlins. Now I'm pretty good around kids, but these kids... wow definitely wild. Should've been in a movie. Screaming? Yes. Running around? Yes. Climbing on the booth seats and jumping on them (despite other diners sitting on the same row of booths or on the booths directly behind)? Yes. Throwing ice cream and dumping it on the floor? Oh yes. I felt SO bad for the waiters and waitreses. (There were five who were attempting to clear plates and stuff.) Honestly, if I were a waiter/waitress, I wouldn't have put up with it... It was the most disrespectful thing I've ever seen- to the waitstaff and the other diners.

Sorry about the rant. Now whenever I read or hear Hollywood and Vine, I get a bad taste in my mouth. lol

When I first started reading this thread, I thought...hmm, not much that was terrible. But you stirred my memories...

- way back in 1988, a bbq chicken sandwich from the food court in the Land Pavilion
- any scrambled eggs anywhere on property
- chicken nuggets - chicken strips are good but those nuggets are nasty
- turkey/bacon wrap at Cosmic Ray's, but I am VERY picky about deli turkey; DH seemed to find it okay

We are not even planning on eating at DHS. We have plans to go over to Big River Grille for lunch and then back to our resort. (And now I'm waiting to hear how disgusting that place is).

Agree, I find the food the outdoor Mexico location a better value for almost the same thing and it seems to be much better.

The "new" "healthier" burgers at Cosmic Rays. Dry bun, boiled-tasting patty. I used to love their burgers SO much, now I hate them.

Wings from Ohana, hands down!

I have to say pretty much everything from Ohana. The pineapple bread was good though.

Pretty much everything at Akershus. I think I would take Ohana's over that on a trip. I can't believe we paid for leaving there hungry. We DEF. weren't happy about that one. my DH, who will eat just about anything, even disliked the food there.

our entire meal at tony's. Not only was our server horrible but the food was.. its making me gag even thinking about it.

For me it would have to be the popcorn encrusted mahi mahi slop at Grand Floridian Cafe last January and it's not even close. I think it's off the menu now.

For DH it was the VERY fishy fish at CHH. He won't go near the place again.

Any of the "personal pan" size pizzas... commonly seen at the Value resort food courts and Pizzafari at DAK. It gives pizza a bad name. Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE.
