what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

Everything that my husband and I ate at CSR food court was not good! The worst experience we have ever had a Disney. :confused3

Calamari at Tutto Italia

I didn't eat this but poor DH did and was deathly ill for two days.:sick::sick

Earl of Sandwich...

My husband and I were both disappointed and we were hoping to love it because we both love a good sandwich.

Rose and Crown the steak on the surf and turf. I am so not picky. I can probably count on two hands the number of times I have sent food back, but both (first and then the refry) steaks were truly inedible. Like beyond tough. Almost like a piece of shoe leather dipped in liver. Nasty does not begin to describe it. I tried 3-4 times to chew it and it ended up in my napkin. We were seated outside and the warmers were not keeping our bodies warm let alone the food. I would like to blame both the steaks on that reason, but truly I have no idea what it was.

Whoa...we just had this in January 2010 and it was wonderful. Must have had some bad squid. Bummer.

Our worst food experiences has been with the no-sugar added desserts (usually ordered by accident:scared1:) Some of them taste good, but are so full of sugar alcohols they induce some serious gastro orchestrations, shall we say. And others are just so nasty tasting...like the prepackaged no-sugar added brownie at cosmic rays...daughter ordered that in the hope of saving a few calories. She saved a LOT, lol: took one bite & spit it out into her napkin.

The worst thing we ever ate at WDW would have to be the tiramisu at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom. It had some kind of long, rubbery like thing in the center of it.:scared1: The server's explanation was that it was just the gelatin used to make the dessert. I never knew that gelatin was used to make tiramisu.:rotfl:

I consider most dining experiences at WDW to be an adventure :thumbsup2
And what is an adventure without a little risk?

Most of my bad dining experiences have happened during Food & Wine while eating my way through the kiosks of the world. But for every bad experience I had there were at least 4 good ones! I tossed the ones that were horrid and made note of the ones that I loved, no big deal :) I am generally a very picky eater and was just happy to find a few thing's I liked.:cool1:

I agree that there are some counter service Items that it is worth the effort to avoid if at all possible,
Anything at ABC,
Pizza and Burgers (at any of the CS restaurants that do not offer a sufficient amount of toppings to drown the blandness out of them).

But in some areas I find the atmosphere and location more important than whether or not it is the best I have ever had. Tony's is a great example- Lady & The Tramp is my favorite movie so I love the theme. I also like that it is located at the front of the park, and I think its a great place to carb up before a special event (MNSSHP, MVMCP, ect). Is the spaghetti the best I have ever had? No but it sure beats the CS options at MK and it is better than spending a hungry night in the MK. Although I did not like my meal at Sci Fi, I would return there for an appetizer, dessert and the atmosphere. The same goes for Prime Time, Ohauna, and even CRT ;) Sometimes the experience is just worth more IMO. :goodvibes

sunshine seasons-(although this was a long time ago) it was a rotisserie chicken with bbq sauce. ughhhh. every time i think about it i can smell the sauce and it makes me gag ( the land STILL smells like it, nearly 10 yrs later). last time i went i told my DF the story of how i spit it out and refused to eat and made a scene to my parents. he told me i was crazy...until we walked into the pavilion...and yup-you could still smell it. i gagged half way up the stairs to soarin......just aweful!

I HATE the "new" chicken nuggets/strips at WDW now. Columbia Harbor House is always a must stop CS when we are at MK, and their chicken and fish basket was so good! Never again. They are deep fried chicken rocks now. Blech! We are also not fans of anything on the dinner menu at Askershus in Norway. The cold/ salad bar was nice but no one in our group liked their entrees. I agree with all the pp about Liberty Inn. Worst. Burger. Ever. Which I don't understand, because I thought that all the CS hamburgers were the same patties ??

We really disliked the Wishes Dessert Buffet! In fact, I have 3 son's who didn't like hardly anything on their plates...and when I have to spit out a dessert, there's something REALLY wrong. :scared1: The one that tasted like coffee grounds was the absolute WORST dessert (if you can call it that!) I've ever tasted in my life! YUCK!

The breadsticks at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom! YUCK! Even the dipping sauce they came with didn't taste good!

The Brown Derby was awful last week. It took three tries before my filet was cooked enough. My DH's pork chop was not cooked enough. My scallop appetizer was burned. The leftovers leaked all over the bag they were in and DH threw everything away. Most of my $40 filet went in the trash. Dessert was okay.

A fondue dessert at GFC. It was oily, had to send it back. Also did not like any of our foods at Nine Dragons. We threw away our Pepper Market food-just awful. Other than that, mostly good experiences.

:wizard: Everything we ordered at the 50's Prime Time Cafe....except the brownie sundae....

OK OK Everyone can bash me now, but I think that the Dole Whips were absolutely disgusting. I Threw mine out!!!!!!
