what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

Sugar free brownie (staple at many CS restaurants)
Tofu Rice Crispie Treat at Sunshine Seasons (no longer served)
Dole Whip Float (pineapple soft server and juice)
Cappuccino smoothie at Auntie Gravity's

The absolute worst food I had was at the Liberty Inn at Epcot. I don't know if the burger just tasted bad, or if it was the unrecognizable grey piece of (worm, maybe?-you know how your mind starts imagining the worst!) inside my meat that did it. I have to stop now, I'm going to gag again just thinking about it......

Beyond me how you can ruin :confused3 a simple burger or chicken fingers but this place does both. Went here for a quick snack with GD after picking out a pearl in Japan. I think it was back in 2003. Have not returned since. For a few moments I thought we were at the ABC Commissary. But remembered we were at Epcot. Both places are off my list forever.

Both of you have gotten me rethinking about this place. I was planning on eating here on one of our Epcot nights because for breakfast we are going to Akershus and then for late lunch we are going to Le Cellier....thought that this would be a perfect place to grab a quick bite. I think we will skip out on this and maybe head over to Beaches and Cream at BC for burgers and ice cream. Thank you both for your insight on this CS restaurant :goodvibes

Just to let you know, that Hurricane Hanna's now sells the same Beaches n' Cream burgers. It's the CS place right near the pool (across from kids' pirate ship pool and pirate slide) - fresh and hot grilled food made to order. The burgers are cheaper than if doing sit-down at Beaches.

Happy eating, Tiger :)

The grilled chicken sandwich at Cosmic Ray's. It was stringy and gristly (is that a word??:confused3); eww, now I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

There should be another thread about "mediocre" food . . .you know the kind that everyone raves about, but once you taste it it's pretty much just so-so. Pecos Bill's food rates as mediocre to me . . .but to each his own!

the sorbets you get for dessert at the Wave.. all 3 of them were terrible, but one of them tasted like pine air freshener!

Definitely the salmon and walnut salad Le Cellier. I noticed that it has since been removed from the menu. Thank goodness, it was disgusting!

Hard for some to believe but.... the Dole Whip Float!

I LOVE  pineapple juice and I love  ice cream but I cannot get past the fact that the juice is warm!!!!
That ruined it for me and see no reason to ever have another one!

I'd gone there once when it was Alfredo's and loved it, but when I went back, the name and the quality of food changed. <shudder>

The worst meal that I can distinctly remember was at the Concourse Steakhouse in The Contemporary.. We went there b/c the first time we had such a good meal, one of the best steaks Ive ever had in my life, so we figured we had to go back.. Well we went with a party of 6 plus a few kids and it was just gross...the service was terrible, the steaks were awful, and everyones order was just wrong and messed up. Must be one reason why it's not there anymore..:confused3

Last summer, DH order a steak sandwich (I think it was a prime rib) from Le Cellier. OMG, the bread was hard as a rock and borderline stale. The meat was tough. The whole thing practically took the skin off the roof of your mouth. What a disappointment!

My husband and I both got the Shepherds Pie at Raglan Road because it looked so good on Food Porn. But we both HATED it! I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and I still have dreams of the bread pudding! I had to fight tooth and nail to get him to try the Raglan Road here in KC. He said I only thought it was good because we were in Walt Disney World. Needless to say we went last weekend and the Ham I got was wonderful! Hubby got a Mixed Grill (don't know if it is on the menu in WDW) and he loved everything but the black sausage (which was a little to wild for his tastes lol) and the salmon my mom got was good too! So don't be scared of the restaurant lol it may have just been our taste buds!

I am going to comment for my DD9 on this one... she is quite the mac and cheese connoisseur. It's her favorite food. She thought the kind they served throughout WDW was horrible... she said they added some sort of extra seasonings to it. My son, who loves mac and cheese, but not as much as her, totally agreed with her. To her, it was the same no matter what restaurant/buffet we were at. As I don't like mac and cheese to begin with - no comment from me!

the scallops at Le Cellier. I have never returned a dish. I felt bad because of the rave reviews this place gets, but they were really inedible. Theytasted like they had brought the whole salt content of the ocean with them.

The worst food I've had at WDW (indeed, the only bad food I've had at WDW) were the sweet potato pancakes at Boatwright's back when they served breakfast. What should have been a great breakfast was a gooey, undercooked mess.

Chefs de France: I had salmon with ratatouille.

-Eeyore's Wife

Funny that would be my worst meal too. I found the salmon to be unbelievably dry, and I didn't enjoy the ratatouille at all. However everyone else enjoyed their entree, I loved the app and dessert, and the service was phenomenal. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Chefs de France - in fact it is on the list for our upcoming trip. I just won't get the salmon and ratatouille.

The steak at Coral Reef. I'm sure it would have been better had the entire place not smelled like fish! I don't know what I expected, but it certainly wasn't that. I also wasn't impressed with Le Cellier's coffee rub steak (dodges the flames).

yak and yeti's counter service shrimp lo mein. i asked for it to be made without shrimp and they just removed the shrimp but it still tasted fishy, not to mention bland and mushy.
