what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

This is off of Allears menu for Chefs de France:

Plat de Cote de Boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms

I loved the French Onion soup and loved their creme brulee, but holy Jesus, Mary, and Joseph those short ribs were the most horrible thing I think that has ever touched my palate :rotfl: I believe I choked every bite of food down with water. Even our waitress noticed I barely touched the food and offered me something else to which I politely declined. Loved everything about that restaurant but those short ribs

While I agree that a lot of the on-site food is sub-par (especially for the price), the only thing we've ever actually found to be inedible was a slice of pizza from the Boardwalk window. UGH. That went straight into the trash.

Over the years, we've had a lot of meals (CS) that were just really, really average theme park fare. The couple times we've done TS places, we had pretty good experiences, largely enhanced by the atmosphere and maybe not so much due to stellar food.

I guess we try to keep our expectations pretty low when it comes to Disney dining. So much of the food just doesn't live up to the hype. (like POP's tye-dyed cheesecake... bleh) We're not really the kind of people that are there for the food... except for my Mickey Premium Bars, of course! :mickeybar I haven't had a bad one of those yet! :goodvibes

I just HAD to respond to this thread :lmao:! The spaghetti at the Food Court, Old Port Royale, at CBR was the absolute worst meal I have eaten in a long time! I really would not recommend it!

We're not big fans of the Dinner buffet at Cape May - been twice and both times really didn't like the taste of the food. I don't think we'll be trying it for a 3rd time.

Gross catfish meal at the Garden Grill...although I didn't actually eat any of it...looked too GROSS!

Le Cellier is just way over hyped for the mediocre food they serve. I also had the worst mussels appetizer at Narcoosees. They tasted like old dirty socks. Yuck.

It's a tie between the pizza at Pizza Planet and the shrimp pasta dish at Sci-Fi.

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

I felt like I was eating at one of those all you can eat buffets at home that is just nasty. If it wasn't for Cinderella's step sisters, I would have nothing nice to say about it!

It reminds me of an Atlantic City casino buffet with children. everything looks pretty good, but tastes like salty or sugary paste, depending on whether it is entree or dessert.

I hated the food at the Brown derby! Maybe we have no "class" or something, but none of us liked it and it was not worth two table serves at all!

I thought the short ribs were amazing. :rotfl: I had never had them before but now everywhere I go if I see short ribs on the menu I order them. I wonder if you got yucky ones or if it's just something you don't like. They do tend to be kind of fatty...

funny I loved the mussel appetizer at Narcoosees, you should have sent yours back because you probably got a bad batch or something.

Hands down the macaroni and cheese they serve everywhere; not the good gourmet stuff. That runny, yellow "cheese" sauce has no flavor whatsoever. I don't eat meat so sometimes the only option is mac and cheese. I ordered it about a year ago and had to put tons of salt and pepper in it just to make it semi-edible.
