What's the weather and crowds like in November?

We're staying at our new home (SSR) Nov 22 - 29 and was wondering if it's warm enough to go swimming. What kind of clothes should we plan on taking (we've always gone in Sept when it's really hot). Lastly, besides Thanksgiving (we've been warned not to venture to the parks) are the parks really busy? Any input is appreciated! :cool1:

It's plenty warm to swim in November as long as you go before the sun goes down! :sunny: We love fall in Florida!

We will be at POP during the same time! I have never been in November, just April... I'd be interested to the the opinions of others also!

November is kind of iffy. It might be hot all the time or it might be very cool. You need to be prepared for a little of everything. The last time I was there in Nov. it was always nice during the day but a couple of evenings it was cool enough to need a jacket. And I skipped Fantasmic entirely because it was windy and quite cold.

We went in November and it was nice during the day. It was still warm enough to swim (even at night). And we spent a cloudy day at TL and were not cold. The mornings were slightly cool and the boys wore wind breakers (with shorts). By lunch it had warmed up and no one wanted a jacket.

The trip before, we were there in early December and it was HOT, HOT, HOT!! So I agree that you need to be prepared for both hot and cool weather.

I agree with DisneyArk. We were there last year Thanksgiving week and it was warm enough for shorts during the day, maybe a jacket first thing in the morning and after the sun went down. I took a jacket with me and just tied it around my waist during the day. We didn't swim, but it was definitely warm enough.

As far as crowds go, we were at AK on Thanksgiving Day and they were very manageable. But the next day MK was absolutely insane. I would compare it to Spring Break, maybe even a little more crowded. Couldn't even walk through Fantasyland, just a sea of people. If you have time in your schedule and the money, I would definitely recommend MVMCP one night. We were able to do almost everything we wanted at MK that night with very minimal waits. And the parade was AWESOME.

Just a suggestion...either way you'll have a GREAT time!!

Was there Nov 11-17 2001 and it was mid 80's daytime and low 60's evenings. One of the waterparks was open and the resort pool was open and full of kids every day. I have no idea if that was unusually warm or not.

expect crowds from about tuesday till sunday after thanksgiving. Just a busy time.
