But on our last trip, we went to the MNSSHP as the Peter Pan family. DS (4) was Captain Hook, DH was Peter Pan, I was Wendy and dd (1) was little tinkerbell. We were in Tomorrowland waiting for the rest of the park to open up for us and my son's hook broke. He was so disappointed. A CM came right over and told us we could go to the shop near the castle and they would replace it for us. I told her we didn't buy it from here but brought it from home. She said that didn't matter, they would replace it. So...over we went, and I started to retell the story to a CM there, when another one came right over and said "Captain Hook I see you have a problem. We have a new hook for you right over here!" and she then proceeded to offer him different hooks (all identical) asking which one fit the best. He was sooo pleased! We had a wonderful evening.

Last year I was browsing in a shop at MGM. I can't even recall which one but it was a small shop near the Muppets 3D area. I had been given a lanyard & one pin through a package booking & was wearing it that day. I noticed a CM (middle aged, I would guess) come into the shop & he went over to talk with the lady behind the counter. After finishing their conversation, he started to leave the store & passed near me. I glanced up & smiled at him...for no special reason...I just like to smile at people. He stopped & asked if I'd like to trade pins. I thanked him & told him I'd love to but I only had one & liked it so much I didn't really want to give it up. He smiled & said, "That's okay. Why don't you pick one of mine so you'll have another one." I was so surprised but that nice gesture made my day. I will never trade the pin I got from that sweet CM because it has such a nice memory attached to it.

This was years ago.

I was maybe 10 or so. My Mom bought me one of thos big Figment dolls at the begining of the week. I carried that thing around with me everywhere on our trip.

The last night of our trip we were in Epcot & I was very sick. I was sitting on the floor in one of the shops with my now filthy Figment doll. My Mom called me over to look at something & I left Figment on the floor.

When I went back he was gone. Well I was devestated. Not only was it our last night in Disney, but I was sick & I was tired, a on the verge of a breakdown anyway. Seeing Figment missing sent me over the edge & the tears began to fall.

I went running to my Mom & told her my Figment was missing. The cast member told me not to cry & asked what size was he. I pointed to the shelf of other Figment dolls. He walked over, pulled one down, wripped the tag off & handed it to me. He told me "No one should cry in Disney World."

That CM really had the Disney spirit & passed it on to us.

We were at the MK for DD 3rd birthday. We were probably 3rd in line that morning at the pooh ride. While we were standing in line waiting for the ride to open, when Tigger showed up. He followed us up to our honey pot and got in with us! He did the entire ride with us in our honey pot. DD was so excited! What a magical moment! I will never forget it.

It was our first trip in a motorhome to Fort Wilderness, on the way down, some strap broke, and something was loose (can you tell I am not mechanichally inclined), well my husband fixed it as well as he could, and we finally got to the campground, we checked in went to our site, and my husband went under the motor home, to really look at what was loose, and see how to fix it, while there one of the cast member drove by, and ask him if they could help, DH told him what was going on, the CM radioed someone and said no problem we will fix it for you, just go to the park and enjoy yourself, we asked him how much it would cost, and he then said nothing, just have a great time. We left an envelope with a $20 bill taped next to the broken strap and a thank you note, telling them how much we appreciated the help, when we came back the envolope with the $ was on our door, with a note telling us to have a magical vacation....... We went back every year since that first trip.

On our last trip DD's decided to start pin collecting/trading. Well, I shelled out for two lanyard sets and they proceded to look around the pin cart at WL where we were staying. The hotel mgr walked by with a lanyard full of pins and saw the obviously new one's on each DD's neck. He asked if they wanted to trade and they said no, (really liked the pins that came with the lanyard) but they obviously saw pins on his that they liked. (typical girls!) Anyway, he knelt down and told them to each pick a pin from his lanyard as a gift from the WL. I could have hugged his neck, it was so sweet! They were thrilled and have not traded those pins yet

We were in MGM and my daughter, then 5 was waiting VERY patiently to get a pic with Buzz and Woody. Well, the million other kids who were ahead of us, were not very well behaved. They were pushing, yelling etc. The CM who was with Buzz and Woody must have noticed our "Sweet Abby" because she came over, lifted the rope and let her under. THEN, when she got over to Buzz and Woody, they both pointed to her and made gestures at how well behaved she was. Well...the other kids must have got the hint, because they got REAL quiet real fast. It made our daughter feel very special.

Our very first stay at a Disney resort was in 1996 at the All Star Sports. The first morning we were at the bus stop early and immediately jumped on the first bus that came driving up. Little did we know (did not do our research very well) that the bus was destined for the Disney Marketplace, etc. We rode and rode until all of the passengers had disembarked except for us four (DW, DD14 and DS10). The driver then asked us where we were trying to go and I said "MGM". She said the only way to get there was to go all the way back to the resort and get on the appropriate bus. We said ok and must have had four of the saddest expressions ever on our faces. I saw her talking into her radio and then she reached up and dialed something into her marquee. About 10 minutes later we were driving up to the entrance at MGM! We thanked her profusely and made it to the park at opening. I looked back at the marquee as she was driving off and saw the word "SPECIAL" on it. I tear up just thinking about it now. People wonder why we're hooked on Disney!!!

Hi everyone! First time posting after years of just "reading" these wonderful forums.

We've had many nice things happen to us at Disney World. One of our most magical moments was getting to be the "special family of the day" on Splash Mountain. We got to leave the very long line and go in the back way and ride with Brer Bear and Brer Fox on the ride that morning. They gave us a free picture taken during the ride and a certificate. The CM took pictures of us with the characters beforehand as well. It was fun waving at everyone who was trying to take a picture of the two characters on the ride and yet we knew we were going to be in those pictures, too!

We celebrated our grandson. Connor's first birthday while at WDW a year ago. Had a special dinner at LeCellier with our daughter, son-in-law, son and fiancee. I did share(quietly) with our waitress how special the day was for us. She arranged a special birthday cake with a single candle with no hoopla, no singing. Connor had died 3 days after birth. She made his birthday party special and private for us all to remember him.

Back in 2001 was our first trip to WDW with our two sons. They were ages 6 and 7 at the time. My oldest bought a Peter Pan hat the first night there and wore it the whole rest of the visit. My son kind of resembles Peter Pan, so along with the hat, he got all kinds of attention everywhere we went. All of the CMs were calling him Peter. We went to the Villains dinner and Captain Hook was there. When he saw my son in his PP hat, he immediately went over to him and spent a bit of time with him. Later on that week went to the night time parade and Peter Pan was in it. My son was calling out to him and Peter came over to him and patted his hat and told him that he had one just like his. My son was the most thrilled that I had ever seen. And amazingly, I even managed to get a picture of Peter with his hand on my son's head. It was the most wonderful part of the whole trip for my son (and me).

I belive it was about 10 years ago. My Mom, Dad and I were at the MK. We were waiting in line for SM and the line was huge. All of a sudden a CM came up to us and said "Party of 3." He then took us up to the front of the line and we got on the next ride. I dont think other people in line were very happy with us but it wasn't like we asked to be moved, he just came to us. That was my last trip with my mom and dad to WDW. We always talk about that experience and we will never forget it

when I went with my DH year before last..I had stars in my eyes becasue it was my first time there so it all seemed so magical.BUT a few things do stand out..when we were riding space mountain,,DH said he has NEVER gotten to ride up front(he had been MANY times) so I sweetley asked the CM if he could ride up front.....i thought we would have to wait to ride,,BUT he put us in the car that was about to take off...weeee!!!! at the monorail,,,some mean man stepped on my foot and the CM saw this and let me and DH ride up front.Also at epcot at the ILLUMINATIONS...we waited in line to get a good spot.I am kinda short so It is crucial for me..anyway,,,halfway though,,some drunk guys(very tall) stood in FRONT of me) ughhh,,welll I was about to say something(I am fiesty) when one of the ladies that was in the parade with a BEAUTIFUL butterfly looking costume(very very elaborate).....saw this,,stopped in front of us,,grabbed my hand and pulled me up front,,,,,and bowed,,WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! those guys moved!!!hahhahahah......

These are such great stories. We had something really special happen to our family at MGM 2 years ago. My daughter was 3 and son 5 on this trip. My daughter was a huge Ariel fan so the first thing we decided to do was see The Little Mermaid show. Well, 3 minutes into the show she panicked because of the darkness. I pulled her out and minutes later my DH and DS came out after seeing the huge Ursula puppet. We walked over to a CM named Christopher who was in front of The Bear in the Big Blue House show. He snuck us in the back to see how my DD would do. Nothing doing, she wanted out. He walked us over to the Honey I shrunk the kids play area. On the way he stopped at a stand and bought the kids a mickey and a minnie doll. He gave them to the kids and told them that he wanted to have at least one happy memory at MGM. I was touched. What a sweet gesture. We are planning to see MGM this April. Think things will go better this time.

We were in Disneyland March 2000 and had heard rumors that "Michael" was going to be in the park from cast members. Hadn't seen a thing by late evening, DD15 was starving and not in the best of moods. Heading back to our group with our arms loaded with food, DD spotted "suits" standing in the middle of the street. She said, "Mom! It's Michael EISNER!" She piled her armload of food on mine, grabbed her autograph book and got his autograph. We ran back to our group, she grabbed the camera and her brother 13 and ran back down the street. She asked a "suit" if he would take their picture and he said, "Michael, we have a photo op here!" Needless to say, DD was in a much better mood and I think she was still smiling when she fell asleep that night!

My mother brought my older nephew down for a visit in the summer of 2003. I knew several WDW employees at that point, so we had gotten VIP reserved seats for Beauty & The Beast, and a private visit with Beast and Belle (it was a complete suprise to mom & nephew). My mom had been taking me to WDW since I was 3, even though we had to save for years for each trip, and go ultra-budgeted the whole way. She was so amazed at how the CM's at BATB treated her like a queen (we even had a little velvet rope across our row), and I was so proud to be able to give her an experience like that!

We were going from MK to Epcot on our second day, and I noticed that there was almost nobody waiting at the monorail station besides us, so I quietly walked up to a CM and asked about sitting with the pilot (and told him I wanted to suprise my nephew). He winked, and said we could do it. When the monorail pulled in, and nephew started to walk up to the door, the monorail pilot got out, walked back to him, and said, "Why, you're supposed to be riding up front, and helping me drive!" Nephew's jaw hit the floor, lol! (The people around us were so jealous that I slid back and whispered to them how we had done it.)

After we got off the monorail, Nephew plopped down on the first bench he saw, and asked to call his mom on my cell phone. I wasn't sure why, but I dialed her number, and handed the phone over. He grabbed it and said, "OH, MOM! GUESS WHERE I JUST WAS??" He raved and raved, but what finally made me cry was when he looked at me, took my hand, sighed, and said, "I'm going to remember this FOREVER!"

Our family was riding BTMRR when my DD's (5yr) Minnie Mouse hat flew off.
SO we went to a nearby store to buy her another one. When we told the CM what had happened she handed us a new hat and said it's free have a magical day. We thought that was great.

Years ago we had checked into the Poly and found that the toilet wasn't working. I called down to maintenance and told them what was happening and said that we were leaving for the park and that we'd be back in the evening. When we returned that night we found that the toilet had been fixed. The nice part was that my daughter found a letter that was an apology for the problems that we had (it really wasn't a big deal at all) and sitting on top of the letter was a ceramic Mickey Mouse. My daughter was thrilled and it was a very nice gesture on WDW's part.

We were waiting for the Indiana Jones show to start and my girls started getting a little restless so this lady behind us leaned forward and told the girls if they were good during the show she would give them her balloon. Sure enough at the end of the show she hands off the balloon. It was a red Mylar balloon autographed by Mickey and the gang! Not one you can buy on the street. Very nice of her.
