Whats the NICEST thing that has happened to you at WDW???

Aw, Bethany, that is so sweet. Your little fella sounds like a sweetheart. :lovestruc

Goodness people - I can't believe that nothing nice has happened to anyone in the last 7 weeks!!!!

More - more - more!!!

LOVE reading everyone's magic stories! :)

On our most recent trip we arrived and spent our first night at Hotel Royal Plaza before moving to the VWL. We had a nightmare of a time the day before we left with car repairs, left 3 hours after we had hoped to leave which threw off our plans for the day. We didn't have time to go into a park when we arrived (we have APs so even if we only went for an hour we weren't wasting a day). Our sons were cranky, hungry and itching to get to a park. We had a dinner PS at Boma for the night. The kids weren't happy at seeing the AKL pool and not being allowed to go inside. THe trip wasn't off to the best start. While I was at the buffet getting food for our 4 year old the lady at the next table asked DH if she could pay for our meal. It seems she was on the gold plan. She was checking out in a couple of days and didn't think she would use all of her wishes before then so she wanted to use some of her wishes to cover our meal. DH told me about it when I got back to the table. I thanked her and she said "I remember my sons being little like yours. It looked like you could use some magic to get your trip started on the right foot!"

My son's favorite magical memory was riding the Tea Cups with Tweedle Dum this past trip. He was so thrilled when Dum gestured that he wanted to ride with DS. DS started to have me get in the teacup with them and dum waved his finger at me and then pointed back and forth from himself and DS then looked at DS and shrugged his shoulders. DS says "he says it's just for me and him, Mom! You have to ride with Daddy and Connor!" :)

I was at disney land when i was 10 and we only had 2 fast passes left for my favorite ride. My sis really wanted to go so i let her and my dad go. My mom had gone on the jungle cruise so i just sat down at the entrance to indiana jones. While i was waiting a cm came up to me and offered my food, drinks, and my favorite mickey ice cream!!! It was soooooo magical.:earsboy: :D

:) :bounce: A couple of years ago we were watching the animal kingdom pirade for the 1st time with our cousins. All of my family looked so exited that they let all of us join the pirade!!!! It was sooo much fun for all of us. It was especially fun for my brother who was three and loved all the pirades.:earsboy: :) :bounce:

 We just got back from Disney. Two special things happened. One was early in the morning on our way to The Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot. My 3yr. old daughter was dressed in her princess outfit and ready for her big day. The monorail driver made it an extra special day for both of us. He not only let us ride in the front, but he let my daughter turn the key. She got to go through the early morning checks to make sure the monorail was ready for the day. I was probably more excited than my daughter.
The second was in Epcot. I went to Canada to try a Bear Claw. My daughter wasn't interested and getting a bit cranky. The Cm said there is no crying allowed in Canada and he said he had an extra special treat for her. He arranged strawberries, cream, and chocolate on a plate just for her. She was delighted and her smile returned. And he didn't even charge me for anything.

We were spending our last evening having dinner at Jiko. After a wonderful meal the waiter came over and asked if we'd like to see a dessert menu. Both my husband and I answered yes at the same time. After only just a little while the waiter came back and said I'm sorry but you already have dessert waiting for you. He turned around and the guy behind him was carrying a large wooden board with a chocolate Mickey and a chocolate Minnie with chocolate covered strawberries and written in chocolate on the board it said Thank you for visiting Walt Disney World. It had been sent over to us by our hotel (Yacht Club). Now that made me feel special!!!!

Last May we went to WDW. My son was 5 at the time. His first trip to the Magic.......... We went to the Grand Floridian for the Character Dinner. My son couldn't wait for one of the characters to come and talk to him. We had been there awhile and not one of them had come over ( understandable, there were a lot of people and they were doing their best to get around to the tables). As we are eating our desert, Cinderellas comes up behind my son and and kisses the top of his head. He froze! He literally was speechless. She turned him around and was talking to him, and holding his hand........ She was really going out of her way to make him feel special. Shortly after she left, my son still speechless, Prince Charming comes up and says " Are you Mitchell?" My son looks at me like "what am I supposed to say?" I shook my head yes and he answered "yes". Prince Charming says to him "Well you must be one little special man because Cinderella just told me how handsome you were and how I can competition in the room!" "And now that I see, I beleive she is correct". "Could you come over and have your picture taken with us and the fairy Godmothers?" It was just too precious. To see his face, he still says that Cinderella loves him more than Prince Charming!!!!!!!!!! I just love Disney ..................princess:

Last September I was in the MK with my DH, and 2 DD's aged 2 and 4. We had just ridden the Aladdin Magic Carpets ride. The girls were a bit tired and thirsty and DH needed a bathroom break. While DH went off in search of a restroom, I found a quiet spot for us to wait for him to return. Off to the side there was a nice shady umbrella with a little platform under it. I thought it was the perfect spot for an impromptu "picnic". The girls were contentedly drinking their juice boxes and I had my head down rummaging through the bag under the stroller for a snack for them. Suddenly, I heard a man greeting my daughters. It was Aladdin! We were sitting right where he does his character greeting. He crouched down and began to chat with my DD's. I grabbed the camera and started filming! It was so cute!!! He talked to them for a minute or two. Then, he insisted on opening the bag of M&M's I had gotten out for the girls and told the younger DD he wanted to find a red M&M for her. For some reason there weren't many red ones in the bag and he was having trouble finding one. At that point, Aladdin realized a line had formed to meet him, so he looked up to the crowd and said "Excuse me, I just have to find a red M&M for this little girl". LOL! Fortunately, he finally found one. I quickly gathered up our stuff and managed to pry the girls away. They didn't want to leave him! I was so excited by the whole encounter that I called DH on the 2-way radio to announce we had just met Aladdin. He was happy for us (so were all the other guys in the restroom). :p

During the same trip we saw Aurora at Epcot. She was very nice to the girls. The next day we were at breakfast at CRT and Aurora remembered meeting us the day before! princess:

Finally in AK my youngest DD was excited when she noticed one of the CM's had on a "cowboy" (Woody) pin. The CM overheard us, took it off his lanyard and gave it to her! Then he let my oldest DD pick out a pin too. We didn't have any pins to trade. I felt bad but he insisted we take them. The girls were very pleased.

Our entire trip in May was magical (of course!), but there were several things that were very magical for us.

1. Our first day the kids tuckered out pretty quick. As we were meeting up to ride the Grand Prix ride the CM noticed my tired children. He led us to the front of the line so my kids wouldn't melt. We thanked him, but he just winked. ;)

2. On our third day I forgot my camera! We were first in line to see Ariel and met a lovely family from Wisconsin (I think). They had just been to CRT for breakfast. Their son was reeling from a kiss on the cheek from Snow White. :rotfl: Anyway, as we get to meet Ariel, I realize I do not have my camera. My kids were OK, but this nice woman offered to take their picture and e-mail it to me! And she did! It was so wonderful and kind.

We met many helpful people and witnessed very little complaining. We can't wait to go back!

Two special moments:

Several years ago, our DD first visit, we had PS for a character breakfast at the WL. We were staying at POFQ and our PS was at 8:30 I think. The morning of the PS we realized that the buses did not start in time for us to get to our breakfast. When we inquired at the front desk, the CM said no problem--they would drive us over!! They picked us up seconds later in a DW vehicle and refused to take tip!

Later, at the end of trip we were sitting out front of POFQ waiting for the shuttle to take us home. My DD was crying because she didn't want to leave and DS was thirsty. Too late to buy a drink, the shuttle would be there any minute. Two young CMs working at luggage storage overheard what was going on and brought us all drinks of cold water--without our even asking!

We just got back, the 2nd day we went to the MK we went 1st thing to do the race cars for my son(4 yrs old). Well it was 30 min after the park opened and the wait was already 45 mins. We were in front of the ride and asked him if he wanted to wait or if he'd rather go do some other fun things. He was pretty disappointed becuase he had really wanted to do the ride, we just couldn't see waiting in the heat for 45 mins.

Well the CM in front of the ride hears us I guess and comes over, knells down next to my son and asks if he would like to be the special "racer of the day". We didn't really know what she ment, but she said park the stroller and follow her. She brought us in through the exit and right to the cars and have a nice day and walk away. We were totally shocked. I kind of felt bad for everyone else that had to wait, but it was still cool to be able to get right on.

When my daughter was three she lost her beat up and raggy looking Raggedy Ann doll at Magic Kingdom. We asked at guest relations and of course no one had seen her. A week later at home a box arrived in the mail and her Raggedy Ann was inside. We couldn't believe it. I still can't believe they would care about every toy that children lose there. Only Disney!!

Here's my special moment:
We just got back from our trip. We went to MK on Tuesday and had a great time riding the rides. We decided to go to the early SpectroMagic parade since my nieces (ages 5 & 2) were getting kind of tired. We found a nice spot in Liberty Square. There was a family group in the very front of the roped off area, we were just behind them. The 3 girls and the mom were sitting on the ground so we thought my nieces could just sit in the stroller and they would be able to see. But then the dad stepped in front of the stroller and he wasn't moving. He had even turned around and seen the girls sitting in the stroller and he still stayed in front of it. My sister and I were getting annoyed, but we didn't want to ruin a great day by making an issue of it. My brother in law is very tall and he was going to hold the 2 yr old and my sister would have carried the 5 yr old. But then the dad turned to my 5 yr old niece and told her, "why don't you sit with the girls? There's plenty of room for you." Then he introduced his daughters to my niece. The parade started about 5 minutes later and Samantha and the girls loved it! They were calling out the names of the characters in the parade as if they were rock stars! So we didn't complain and Samantha benefitted!
And this was a magical moment for 2 reasons:
1. The guy moved out of the way and gave my niece a perfect spot to watch the parade
2. Samantha's reaction was wonderful! She jumped up and down, sang along with the music and was so very excited when she got to shake some of the characters's hands. Great end to a great day at the Magic Kingdom!

My DW and DS5 rode Winnie the Pooh over and over on e-ride night. The first time through the line, she asked one of the CMs, "how are you this evening?"

He replied, "I'm at Walt Disney World. It doesn't get any better than this." Pretty cool.

The last time, as DW and DS reappeared at the end of the ride, the CMs had gathered at the exit to wish them a nice good night. They offered to show DS the controls, and how they worked.

These stories are great!!! I've had tears in my eyes the whole time. It's great to hear positive, happy moments.

I have a few too....

We were lucky enough to have reservations for CRT first thing in the morning on Mother's Day, 2002. It was my DD's first trip to WDW (she was almost 3), and she was so impressed walking thru an almost empty park and looking at the castle. We went inside and had a delicious breakfast. DD couldn't keep her mind on breakfast at all. Her eyes were so big and bright, and at one point during the meal the laughter just bubbled up inside her and she let out this great belly laugh. Then to make it even better, Sleeping Beauty stopped and kissed DD's cheek!! She had already been to our table for pictures and autographs, so this stop was completely impromptu. I had tears in my eyes for the best Mother's Day ever!!

The second one was in May of this year. I was bound and determined to see the "Kiss Goodnight" thing with the castle at MK after reading about it on the boards. I waited and waited. Nothing. I asked someone. They didn't know what I was talking about. Finally I found one of the "shirts" who knew what I was asking about. He went to find out what time the "Kiss" was supposed to happen. He told me that it was really cool and he didn't want me to miss out on seeing it. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and a half, and no "Kiss". During this time not one person came over and asked us to leave. The park was totally deserted except for us , another couple and their 2 girls, and a few workers. The "shirt" came up to us and apologized profusely. He didn't know what went wrong, but the "Kiss" did not happen that night. He was very nice and made sure that we had transportation back to our respective hotels. I may have missed seeing "The Kiss", but it was very cool sitting there watching the castle turn colors on an empty Main Street!!

Okay, I have one more. I posted this on my trip report, but I love it so much...

The last time we went to WDW, my DS5 was only one, so, of course, didn't remember anything. For whatever reason, this trip we decided to do a lot of research, to really make our trip special. For the six to eight weeks leading up to the trip, every day I would ask DS5, "How many days?" We talked about all the things our family was going to do, etc.

We spent our first day at MK. We stayed late to get our goodnight kiss, so the park wasn't real crowded as we exited. My DS5, wearing his Mickey ears, and DW walked hand-in-hand, just ahead of me and my DS15. As we strolled down Main Street, my DS5 looked up at my DW and said, "This is the best day of my life ever."

Thank you, Walt.
