........with family of 5, kids ages 12, 9, and 6?

Have noticed on these boards APL is typical with families having small children, but we kind of have "a range" of ages. I realize it's not really that important, but I am curious none the less! thanks for your thoughts on this!

Since this is your first cruise, then you might not have a preference for dining rooms. They will all be interesting and entertaining in their own way.

But if you have already cruised, you can request for a rotation change during the embarkation. You can even ask for a specific server at that time. Of course, it is all based on availability.

I realize this doesn't quite answer your question, but it always seems the "luck of the draw" when it comes to rotations.

We have three kids 13, 11, and 7. I thought we would have PLA but ended up with LAP. It kind of depends on how full the ship is, and how many kids are on it. We made our PALO reservations based on our belief of PLA and then went to our cabin and found out LAP. Oh well. Best laid plans.......

Our first cruise we had LAP, last cruise APL, we have 3 kids 13, 10, 7. I'll be curious to see if we get PLA next time ;)

We have three children. Both times we've gotten PLA rotation. I think it depends on how many children are aboard and also which seating you have. HTH

Last week on the Magic we had 5 teens 15, 18, 18, 18, 19 and two small children 3 years and one who was 7 mos plus the 4 adults. We got the APL rotation which was nice. We ended up in Lumiere's for formal night on Thursday. We had our own table for 10 (baby was in the stroller).

thanks all for the responses!!

looks very much like it's anyones guess! I appreciate all the input. It would appear that there is no real "usual" rotation based on kids ages. It won't really matter to me, but I was (like many others on here seem to do) just looking ahead to when--what night--to get for Palo ressies. I also remember many on here saying it was great to be in Parrot Cay on tropical night. Well, this will give me something else to eagerly anticipate---finding out our dining rotation! ;)

ACtually, it's great to be in Parrot Cay on any night!!! Best atmosphere for dining of all three!Love everything about it - from seating arrangements to decor!

Hope you will also!
