Dan Murphy linked us to an AWESOME site to find out what was happening the day you were born! Thanks, Dan, it's very eye-opening. It's http://dmarie.com/timecap/

I checked it and LOVED the statistics named for my birthdate.

For instance,

The average price of a house :$17,800

Average earnings: $5341

Price of a dozen eggs: $.81!! (that's MORE than I paid last week!)

Any interesting points on your birthdate??

Great site, Dan! :teeth:

Well I know nothing comes to mind about my birthday but that is a neat site.

My dear dad's birthday is another story.:)

My Dad was born December 7, 1941 in Manhatten, NY. My grandfather was in the Army stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The hospital did not tell the 7 women that were in labor at the time of the attack as all of them had husbands in the US forces. My grandmother was one of 3 women whose husbands were at Pearl Harbor that fateful day.

Unfortunately :( someone left a radio on at the nurse's station and my grandmother heard the news. Well she got dressed and was on her way out of there (without dear dad). The nurses asked her were she was going and she replied "to get my husband"!:p She was a little loopy to say the least.

My grandfather made it through Pearl Harbor and WWII. He did not get to meet my father until dad was 5 years old.

Dad went to Hawaii last year for his 60th birthday. Dad and I are members of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

I already knew that I shared a birthday (Dec. 5) with Walt Disney and Strom Thurmond. The site failed to mentioned that H.P. Lovecraft and J.Edgar Hoover was also borned on my birthday.
