What's the easiest way to add an extra night

I feel uneasy modifying a reservation online... I can see the whole thing disappearing! Do you typically just call? Or do you book another day, call and have them link them?

It's so disorienting now to try to book a room, then get ticket reservations -- if you can -- then plane tickets. WDW was already a challenging vacation to book, and now it's a whole other level of hard.

Doing a separate online and calling them to link them is the safest and easiest thing to do.

I modify on a regular basis and have never lost one. Even when I have gotten the dwarves in the middle of it, the original trip is still set.

But, as mentioned, if you are not comfortable, book the one night and then call or chat and ask them to be combined.

I've modified lots of times, no problems. I only call or internet chat if there is an issue not addressed on the website

Yes, we added an extra night line (had to waitlist) and since we were 13 days from checkin when it came thru, we plan to tell them at check in to link it

Doing. an online modification to a reservation seemingly requires redoing the entire reservation. That is not actually what is happening. Unlike doing a new reservation, when you do a modification, your entire existing reservation is held until the modification is complete. Moreover, if just making a change like adding a night, the system does not have to find all your nights separately open in the system but needs only to find that additional night open to complete the modification.
