I have gotten the Birnbaum in the past but is there a better one with more info? Birnbaum is great but it seems like it is put out by Disney. Also what is the best website?

Thanks

Hands down, this is the best website. Next, I like tourguidemike.com, wdwig.com, and then passporter.com

I like Birnbaum's guide. It gives you alot of information from places to eat and sleep to best times to visit. They even give you a breakdown of the average weather in orlando. I have the 2005 version and love it. A question i put out there is ... Is it worth getting the new book 2006 if I already have the 05 version. Meaning what is differant if anyone knows.. Thanks.. :earsboy: :cool1: :cool1:

Absolutely love the Unofficial Guide. I find it's honest, not sugar-coated and has a good sense of humor, which we all mneed in planning these trips. The info in the UG has been a tremendous help to me. We have nor erelaxed vacations, largelt because we don't waste time waiting in long lines.

UG, I am a Birnbaums girl 100%- until I gave the UG a chance based on the advice on the dis. I got it last weekend and have devoured every page. Love the info and the sarcasm and humor is great. Gives a more complete perspective to the world.

Best web site: the dis (of course); there are so many helpful people and a ton of disney geniuses on here to answer any silly question i have. :disrocks:

My favorite site for info (which I have never found to be inaccurate) is allearsnet.com.

Is the UG the one that rates the attendance for every week during the year? I know there is one that gives a score 1-10 for the number of people in the parks..... :confused3

Yes--and I found it to be pretty accurate.

In addition to the great online resources mentioned here, I find a lot of useful, organized information in Walt Disney World with Kids by Kim Wright Wiley. I find that it really helps to combine the online info (which can be kind of spread out but very helpful, specific, etc.) with something you can actually hold in your hand. You could even cut the binding off and put in a half-sized notebook then make notes from online stuff (my typical strategy).

Unofficial Guide for a printed book.

Allearsnet.com and DIS for great online information.

YOU NEED TO BUY THE UNOFFICAL GUIDE. I just bought it last week and it has everything you want to know. The few things that you can't find in it, well that is what this message board is for.

I second the vote for Walt Disney World for Kids. It's current and informative and I also LOVED Fodor's Walt Disney World for Couples (although it needs to be updated) by the Perlmutter's. Our first trip was without kids for our anniversary and this book rates resorts & dining based on how romantic a setting it is. Different from all the others in that regard. Of course I use my Passporter daily too. The UG was the best in picking room choices because he gives you exact room #s to request for certain views and tells you what days to visit what parks. Basically I love them all for different reasons!
