Does anyone what the best deal is for HIFS for February, have seen $154 but that seems high. I have looked on the list but haven't seen anything recent. thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Call and ask for the Entertainment Rate. That usually seems cheapest. I have reservations for August for $102.

You could also ask about AAA discount or their Holiday Inn Priority Club discount.

For Feb 21-Mar. 6 2004 we got the Entertainment rate of 102.50. We booked that many months ago, you may not be able to get that rate now.

I got $76 a day for a week starting Jan 24 using the Entertainment book.

When I try to book with the Entertainment rate, the website for HIFS says that my dates are not available for that rate. Since I am going down the 1st week in Feb. I find it hard to believe that the hotel is full. Did you have to call the hotel to get this rate? I have not purchased the Entertainment Book yet. Do they ask for a special code or number when you call?

Thank you

If you can't get the Entertainment Rate, it doesn't mean the hotel is full. They only offer a certain number of rooms at the discounted rate.

I personally called the hotel and got the rate for my dates. I didn't try the website. You don't need the Entertainment card to make the reservation. You just need it at Check in. They will ask to see the card.

Keep calling back though and see if it becomes available.

I just booked a room for my parents on 2/16-18. When I tried online, I couldn't get the entertainment rate for both nights, but when I called they gave it to me for $98 a night.

Probably a silly question, but do I actually have to have an entertainment book to even ask for this rate, or will one need to be presented eventually? I don't have an entertainment book and don't know what it is! Is it something that is purchased or just a magazine or something? Thanks so much for the suggestions!
:)

The entertainment book is usually sold by your local school for $20.00
early in the school year. You can go to mousesavers.com and they have info on how to buy one. You do not have to have the card/book to get a reservation. You will need the card at check in. I called and got the rate of $89 during the week and $102 on the weekends! Going in June and staying 1 night to start trip and then 2 nights at end. Good luck getting the rates.
Can someone tell me if Sea World is very far away from HIFS? Also anyone know of good discounts on tix for SW?
Thanks,
YO

I had the entertainment rate last year in March and they never asked to see my card. I have never heard anyone say that they were asked to present the card, but I would feel too guilty if I got the rate without actually having bought the book. You can buy the books on-line. Last year I paid $20 and this year I got a renewal for $15.

As for the distance of Sea WOrld to HIFS...I don't remember exactly, but I would say it was about 20 minuts or so. The HIFS website says it's 4 miles to Sea World. I do remember that it was a really easy trip!
