What's it really like traveling from MCO to cruise terminal?

I've been poking around the forum, and since I'm still earning my ears here, I'm missing the boat so to speak on finding info regarding transportation to the cruise terminal from MCO.

What is the experience like getting to the bus (where do we go in MCO) when you have to bring your bags to the bus? We're staying offsite for the first part of our trip, returning the rental car to MCO in the morning, and then using a transfer to catch a bus to the Disney Port Canaveral cruise ship port.

Any help appreciated, even if it's just a link to another thread, a youtube video, whatever you think is best... thank you! (and sorry, my signature picture is very old, I need to figure out how to fix it... lol)

Unless things changed they Board at Terminal B level 1 so drop your car off in the Terminal B garage car return. Both A & B have rental car pick-up/drop-off be sure you use B. It's a short walk from the garage to the terminal and the bus.

Once you check in for the bus, they'll take your luggage and you won't have to worry about it anymore. It'll appear in your stateroom later that afternoon. The bus itself is a normal coach bus with Disney wraps on the outside and TVs playing Disney cartoons and trivia inside. It's a pretty nice experience, overall, unless the bus is full and you can't sit with your group.

Y-e-s, amazing, thank you thank you!

I have a knee issue, do I need to let them know? I'm hoping I can sit towards the front, so it's got more room than the back. I've been in one of those buses before that picked us up from a resort directly, just never from the MCO airport.

Thank you!

That's really helpful, THANK YOU @happycamper47 you are a life saver too!

If you have 4 or more in your group it cost about the same to book private transportation to the port.

Here is a tip that may or may not be useful to you. Since you already have a rental car why not just drive to Port Canaveral and return the car there. Then take the free rental car shuttle to the cruise terminal. Might be cheaper than Disney transfers from MCO to the cruise terminal. (It’s an easy drive…approx 45 minutes, straight shot. Though there are a few tolls!)

Since y’all already have a rental car, you might look to see if you can just drive yourself out to the port and drop your rental car off there. The transfers from the airport to the port are $39 per person. You can check to see if there would be any additional cost to drop your car off at the port rather than the airport. The car rental agencies all provide complementary shuttles from their Canaveral location to the cruise terminal.
